I know he will probably stay at his current position of LB for next year.

And I know we have a good number of RB's coming in and we still have BJ Hayes to play some RB and I think he will do great there. I also think Lawrence would be good there.

But if we need some help there is it possible that Wes could move back to being a RB? Or maybe he could even split time between the two positions?

Just something we can discuss...

Rocco moved Wes Cheek from tailback to linebacker more out of necessity than anything in August. But the move has proven to be a smart one for Liberty.
Cheek was disruptive again Saturday, finishing with five tackles, a sack, 1 1/2 tackles for loss and two pass break-ups.
“Cheek is something special,” Liberty linebacker Ian Childress said. “He just wants to be out there. He can move. He gets out there in coverage and does a lot of good for us.”
Cheek said he didn’t start playing tailback until his senior year at Dacula (Ga.) High School, so the move to defense wasn’t too difficult for him.
“I came here with a defensive mentality and the coaches have worked hard to get me back in a defensive mindset,” said Cheek, who made his first start Saturday. “Honestly, I can’t say I would have expected it to end the way. It went really well. Everyone has worked super hard with me and I appreciate everything they’ve done for me.”

No.

Wes Cheek is going to stay at Linebacker, he is really, really good there and we will need him next year.

I don't know if Rocco is open to the Belicheck strategy of using defensive players situationally on offense, but I could see Wes being a full-time linebacker and playing a little tailback in short yardage situations. We will have talent at RB next year, but not much size. He is too good at LB to move back full time.

Remember, that could change depending on the recruiting class. Running back is the easiest position to step right in and be successful.

Jon's right. We have two commits at RB already and Hayes will be back as well as T-Bone (who has been quietly playing behind Rashad and Zach the last couple years) So I dont think the cupboard will be bare there

There will be no shortage of running backs.

Wes is a beast at linebacker and will only get better next year. I hope he stays there, but I'm sure the coaches will make the right call either way!
Coaching changes
