What a tough weekend for the Lady Flames. With the two losses the upcoming game at HPU will be huge. On the positive side, we should be back to our regular line up and have all our guns available. We win our last two games and we go into the Big South Playoffs tied for first. The Flames have hit a bump in the road but I have no doubt they will finish like champions!
ATrain, HPU is currently 12-2 and Liberty is 11-3. The way I see it is that when we win Tuesday (positive attitude), both LU and HPU will be 12-3. Both teams could finish the season with the same Big South W/L record. Anyone see this different?
We need to win our last 2 and HP would have to lose their last two for us to win outright.
HP plays last place Gardner-Webb their last match, so it's pretty unlikely!
Defense wins Championships!!! Go Flames Volleyball
Good luck to the Lady Flames tonight. As much as I'd love to be there, I've got med terminology tonight and can't make it. Regardless, BEAT HIGH POINT!!!
LU wins 27-25, 25-20, and 25-21 in a sweep. That first game HP had triple game point and we came back and won. It looks like our standard lineup was in there this time and we kept our errors down as Bacon and Skripko played. We needed this win in a big way.

This win came at a good time... we needed the momentum.
This win came at a good place... we showed excellent focus on the road.
I saw girls flying around the court tonight... our D was tough!
I saw girls building blocks at the net... our front row played tall!
I saw girls hitting the ball hard... our multi-option attack had them on their heals.
I saw good coaching... our team looked like they knew what to do and when to do it.
This is just like last year where we split with WU and got the season title....back to back years congrats ladies
This is a good sign to see a young team bounce back like that!!

The coach from UNCA said he wouldnt be surprised if we were to get a first round victory in the NCAA if we continue to play like we did last nite....but lets not get ahead of ourselves one step at a time
