Ok, we all know Obama is going to win the presidency.

However, VA is having a pretty tight race and the House race locally is tight.

How much did Liberty voters impact these two results? Were we to credit if Goode wins the House seat?

Lynchburg, and thus Liberty, is in Goodlatte's district. According to CNN, McCain barely carried Lynchburg, so we can take credit for delivering the city to McCain...but not so sure about the state results.

I saw numbers on ABC saying that we didnt carry Lynchburg, and that it was Obama. Sadly we're the only blue speck in the middle of the state. I'm thinking it's b/c what's near SJ's and my house

"Our God is an awesome God he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love"

this is still true. As disappointing as tonight was, he is our president, God is still in control, and he saw Obama fit for this time and place. We must set the standard for respecting someone we disagree with for future generations, as oppose to the last 8 years.

Oh, so you mean we should all make Facebook statuses about how God is going to punish America, and that we're going to get bombed by terrorists, and that the end is near and the world is coming to an end, all because the guy we wanted to get elected didn't make it?

I think we're off to a bad start.

assuming your responding to me.

No, not what I meant at all.

Simply put, God is ultimately in control. We may disagree with Obama on many things as christians, but Romans 13:1 tell us "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

As a christian, I am called to this. So is every other christian. It means we are called to put aside our views of the man, and respect and honor him as our God appointed leader.

Before you bring up my recent posts about abortion in other topics, im just venting tonight. I will not submit in the sense of conforming my view of abortion to his, but I will submit to respecting and honoring him because of his office.

I was actually sarcastically responding to everyone on facebook from LU.

I think you're right. Absolutely right. I was just using more sarcasm than text can stand to portray.

Yeah, last night was ridiculous on facebook. And while Yes, Im completely opposite end of the spectrum in terms of abortion views than our new president, Im begining to think more that if he can actually do alot of what he promised to do, the next four years might not be as bad as we all thought.

Hopefully the legislative branch doesnt bend over backwards for him.

Hopefully the couple of judges in the supreme court leaving soon find a way to hold on an extra couple of years.

where is this at?

All im seeing anywhere is that Obama's rally, which was feared by chicagoans like myself to ruin our chances at the 2016 olyimpics, actually helped our cause. No riots. That his girls are getting a puppy and the AKC board is arguing what kind the president has to have. And that the guy he most likely will appoint chief of staff is from Israel, which could be very outstanding. Its not likely you will bomb your chief of staffs home.

No, those start after some white-supremacist nut job decides to shoot the President. And as much as I disagree with Obama, I think a Biden administration will be much worse for the country. I plan on spending the next 4 years praying for the President's safety, and for the Secret Service agents protecting him.

There's not much diference but personally I'd take Biden. His foreign policy positions are significantly better than Obama's and he's a walking gaffe machine.

I don't like Biden at all...but he isn't nearly as liberal is Obama and I think would do a better job...not a good job...just better then Obama

the sad thing is, an assassination attempt or even an assassination that gets pulled off is a very, very likely scenerio with all the crazies out there...

An assassination of Obama would be many many times worse than the election of Obama.

So I open up a thread about how we affected the election and we're talking about what happens when Obama is assassinated.

OK. I'll just move along and pretend I wasn't part of this conversation. I don't want to be named when this all goes to trial.

True.

Not to mention every inner city in the country would have a street name Barack Hussein Obama Blvd.
