So Im one of the 4200 to register in virginia this year, but I never received my voter card in the mail. Online it says im registered, and to just bring ID. If I show my illinois drivers license, are they going to let me vote? Should I just show my ss card instead?

well its online, but it wasnt clear. Im assuming its ok, just have to make sure I go to a republican to do my business

I'm pretty sure all you need is an ID to vote in VA. This is a state that doesn't even require an picture on it so I can't imagine they would need the voter card.

Just show them your ID, if they can find your name on their list, you can vote.

For Liberty on campus students, If you do not have your voter registration card, bring your student ID and all you will need to do is sign a piece of paper verifying your identity.

I am a republican. I meant more that If i go to a democrat and say "Hey i switched from illinois to virginia so my republican vote will actually matter" they would be like nope, sorry.

I guess it also doesnt help that coming from illinois, i assume anyone associated in any sort of election is a crook.

are you kidding me...tomorrow i get to go stare at a ballot that of the 15 positions i vote for only 3 of them have a republican running! isn't illinois grand!

I understood. The bright side is that if you get a Democrat, your Illinois license might lead them to assume you're voting for the Illinois senator. Maybe when you walk up to the counter you can say something about almost slipping on an acorn on the way in.
