You old hags need to stop acting all high and mighty
Back in the day, when East Campus was first built (yes-I'm old enough to be an original dweller of that side), there was no 1,000-space "pit", all we had were precious few spots, and I remember having to walk from the 4th floor of my dorm all the way to DeMoss in the cold, with the windchill, uphill both ways in several inches of snow, or slipping on ice (on a bridge-there was no tunnel back then)-IN DRESS SHOES AND BUSINESS CASUAL DRESS!!!!!
And yes, I remember the red mud too. When they first built the tunnel, there were no sidewalks...only pebble gravelled paths that got washed away in heavy rains and that was the year Florida got hit by 4 hurricanes, and the remnants of all 4 found there way to Lynchburg.
And SJ, I completely sympathize with you on the North Campus issue...a stop on East would be nice as well.
