we don't need shuttle's, just plan your classes out better and you will live!!!! Now as for killing freshmen, I was very close to having some freshmen's tires running just a little bit low on air!!!!!!

It's easy to schedule to your advantage. After your advisor approves your schedule and lifts your flag, just schedule what you want to take and when you want to take it. Folks, it ain't rocket science to beat the system!!
(It just takes embracing a bit of the dark side of the force).

A lot of students don't have cars. Sometimes you have to take the classes you can get, especially as an underclassmen. Who are the main ones that don't have cars? Underclassmen. It's insanely hard to walk from North Campus to class on Main Campus in the fifteen minutes they give you. Many teachers don't let out til a minute after class is supposed to get out. Then you have to get out of the building, and that's sometimes harder than it sounds on North Campus, followed by getting across the parking lot, just to make it to the sidewalks to come to class. If you have an understanding teacher, then they might let you be a minute or two late. A lot of teachers aren't understanding though. With more and more classes being schedule on North, something needs to be done to help students get back and forth.

You old hags need to stop acting all high and mighty

Back in the day, when East Campus was first built (yes-I'm old enough to be an original dweller of that side), there was no 1,000-space "pit", all we had were precious few spots, and I remember having to walk from the 4th floor of my dorm all the way to DeMoss in the cold, with the windchill, uphill both ways in several inches of snow, or slipping on ice (on a bridge-there was no tunnel back then)-IN DRESS SHOES AND BUSINESS CASUAL DRESS!!!!!

And yes, I remember the red mud too. When they first built the tunnel, there were no sidewalks...only pebble gravelled paths that got washed away in heavy rains and that was the year Florida got hit by 4 hurricanes, and the remnants of all 4 found there way to Lynchburg.

And SJ, I completely sympathize with you on the North Campus issue...a stop on East would be nice as well.

what is this atrain???? i am in total agreeance that LU needs a shuttle service now. the campus is too vast now. all of the old and semi old hag talk, is just to poke you guys a bit and to remind you what we had to go through to get to class back in the day. im glad LU has this problem and hopefully the shuttle service will really be a success.

agreed.

Also, when I make my yearly pilgrammage- I don't want to have to WALK around. I make it a point to NOT walk when working, and I'm certainly not going to strain myself when on vacation.

Wonder why my weight is skyrocketing?

ATrain, don't sympathize with me, as I've got enough credits to be able to schedule good classes. I've only had one class on North and that was a night class.

I think this would be a nice idea. I walked to alot of places around campus before I came with Julio (my 1997 Hyundai Accent). Course anybody that knows me also knows that I tended to hitch rides a lot as well

As far as the conditions of the construction and what everyone has had to go through, there is no comparison to the old school campus we had to attend and today;'s modern version. You guys have sidewalks. There weren't any sidewalks in the early 80's and by the time I arrived in the mid 80's everything was covered with red clay. You couldn't avoid it. This is nothing. I am not here to say who had it worse though. This shuttle is needed I think and I believe it will happen. To sum: I am pro shuttle. Old hags had it far worse. You young kids are spoiled. SJ is Italian and can celebrate the world cup. BJ has a Hispanic car
