Here's a nice feature on the kid who likely will be at RB for the Leopards ...

DeAndre’ Morrow will never forget the first time he made Lafayette’s travel squad. It was his freshman year. The Leopards lost the game to Harvard; Morrow had two tackles on special teams.

But that won’t be the thing that sticks with him the rest of his life.

The night before that game, Morrow’s roommate asked him if he was ready. “I hope so,” Morrow said.

Morrow has a strong Christian faith – “Jesus Christ means the world to me,” he said this week. So, looking for some encouragement, he typed the words “God help me” into his computer’s search engine.

about Danny Rocco...

"He was 1-10 the first year and has won Big South Coach of the Year the past two years"

Someone needs to tell this guy he is wrong...

He was 6-5 his first year. 8-3 last year.

Liberty’s football team has won its last 11 homes games, and in each one, the result was a foregone conclusion by the time the fourth quarter began.

That trend could change today at Williams Stadium, as Lafayette comes to town for a 3:30 p.m. visit. The Leopards are 4-1 and have been to the FCS playoffs three of the last four seasons. Lafayette leads the nation in scoring defense and is ranked in the top 10 in FCS in total defense, rushing defense and pass efficiency defense.

Liberty, ranked 14th in the Sports Network’s poll, is still looking for a signature victory, especially after Youngstown State went in the tank after losing at home to the Flames. A win against Lafayette would give the Flames’ candidacy for an at-large bid to the FCS playoffs more luster.

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Nothing like starting the day with a correction. But brain fade obviously set in with me yesterday.

I wrote that Danny Rocco is in his third season at Liberty. True. I wrote that he has been Big South Coach of the Year the last two years. True. But I gave him a 1-10 record in his first year. FALSE. That record belongs to his predecessor, Ken Karcher.

I'm over at the indoor track right now for the Parent's Meet and Greet and I am absolutely awed at the amount of parents wearing red. It's pretty awesome.
