Liberty University School of Law now ranks No. 3 in the state for passage rates on the Virginia Bar Exam. At 94.4 percent, Liberty is just behind the University of Virginia (96.8) and Georgetown University (95.6).

“That’s going to put us in the top 5 percent of all law schools in the country,” said Mat Staver, Dean of Liberty University School of Law.

More than 90 percent of Liberty University School of Law graduates who took the Virginia State Bar examination this year passed the test, according to figures released by the school this week.

“Certainly, I was elated at the news, but we’ve set the bar very high for our students,” said Mathew Staver, dean of the law school. “We challenge them to achieve above the goals that they set, and they always come through.”

Results from the examination show that 94 percent, or 16 of the 17 students who took the test in late July, passed, he said.

Gotta be first time, theres no way theres been enough time for some to have taken it, just found out then knowing have to take the bar again b/c they failed.


Most of my friends found out within the last 2 weeks

If it is first time...that is a VERY impressive pass rate and speaks volumes on the amount of test prep they must get and have access to. Well done!

Well they are saying it's one of the highest in the country so I'd have to think it would be an impressive number....94 sure is impressive!
