How hard would it be for the people that we pay to announce our games, whether on TV or through the PA system, to learn how to properly pronounce our players' names? Is it really that hard?

It's Danny Brah-gen. It's not Bro-gen.

It's Ryan Gry-zer. It is not Ryan Grease-er.
Should of heard back in the day when he pronounced Noah Crouch's last name. . . . .so sad.

Yea, I was given the idea by my daughter to put a pom-pom on his door with a note saying, "Cheerleader of the Week". I just might do that ;)

yes, saw Coach Wach come unglued, loved it. we needed it, ppl were yawning. i do think that the band not playing "pep" music lent to a less-than-enthusiastic crowd. also the crap music that was being played over the speakers, sad, was there a substitute up there yesterday? have you noticed at away games the announcer helps the crowd get pumped up for 3rd down plays, the big-screen shows "make some noise" etc etc sometimes the crowd just needs a little prompting. AND the mispronunciations KILL me. if i were Rocco i'd send a message upstairs, they better get OUR names right, understandable if they can't get the visitors but our own players?! give me a break.

and btw i stayed for the entire game, always do, always will. if it's 65-0 win or lose, i stay. Bring on the leopards!

Hey guys, just got back home earlier today. You guys miss me?! Anyways, I was on the road for most of the game yesterday, and couldn't listen to it. I kind of followed the live stats. Seemed like we really focused on defense and played much better on that side of the ball.

One more question! I thought since Va. Tech had an off week, we'd see an upsurge (small but noticable) in Townie attendance. Anyone ever wonder how we can get those who love football but don't really care for LU to come try us out?

We have to exceptionally good. We have to overcome so many biases toward our school that it is a major challenge.

The media plays a role and Chris' good work and the increase of efforts by DC has begun to raise awareness.

Frankly I believe we have a great potential in reaching out to become a safe & fun option for youth groups and churches in general regionally. Obviously some marketing would be involved.

But this is probably a discussion all unto itself for another day.
