That WCU score will not help our ratings at all.

That makes no sense. They won a road game over a Division I opponent. How does that not help?

But Elon beat Presby by something like 40 points.

At home. Not saying Elon doesn't win at Presby. The Phoenix clearly do. But Elon doesn't score 52 in the first half on the road, either.

wow. The Youngstown board is so down on their team I figured this would be a blowout or something. NDSU isn't that bad -- what is YSU doing up there, I wonder ...

I know this is stating the obvious but WCU is a non-conference opponent whereas PC is in-conference. The better our OOC wins do, the better it is for us even if they beat another Big South team, particulary if we take care of that same Big South team ourselves. When Coastal went to the playoffs in '06, it wasn't because they beat Liberty, Gardner-Webb and VMI. It was because they beat Wofford, SC State and Furman who were/are well-respected programs.

And, just for the record, Coastal started that season by losing at home to Elon.

And, while I'm here, what's going on in Blue Hose country? 30 rushing attempts compared to only 26 passing attempts?

A good day nearly across the board for our strength of schedule.

For the record, NDSU has been #1 in some of the polls the past couple of weeks. That is an astonishing turnaround for the Penguins. Next weekend's game is going to be extremely tough for us on the road.

Yea, the Penguins have peaked too early. Look for the Flames to burn the birds in their own backyard. :flamethrower
