If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Huard is forcing the staff's hand. It'd be cool to see Thig get an opportunity. The folks down in Conway need something to positive to talk about in light of this past month's developments.

Hey sweet,

I just realized you are from Elkton. I managed the Ruby Tuesday's there and Bear Delaware.

The chiefs were saying he was fighting for the starting job in training camp. I never heard anything about him since and I found it hard to believe that Huard had beat him out.

And bail money...the minimum salary now in the NFL is pretty high so that should cover half of it

Seriously though I was happy to see this kid getting a shot...what a great thing for our conference and for CCU

Thigpen "red hot" in today's game per game announcers. KC 8 pt. lead in the 4th.

Then MY Bucs brought them back to reality:) He looked pretty good - they had a linebacker from GW playing too.

Our Bucs...

And yeah, it was no fault of Thig's, tho. Their defense just crumbled.

Im gonna offer up the fact that one of my biggest pet peeves are people who talk about "we" or "MY Bucs (or insert your favorite team here". Look if you do nto suit up for them and go through training camp with them or travel all over the country with them as a part of the staff or as a player or what have you, you cannot be using the first person singular or plural possessive to describe an athletic team. That is something that just gets the ol goat in my opinion.

What if you have traveled hundred's of miles to see them, spent a lot of money on tickets to see them and been a fan for 25 years? Can I consider them my Redskins then?

They can be your team from a fan standpoint but you still cannot use "my" or "we" or anything that gives the indication that you are directly affiliated to the team in a player or staff standpoint. I laud you for your loyalty but you do not have a personal stake in teh team from the standpoints mentioned in the previous sentence.

I'm pretty sure with the $1,000's of dollars I've spent in Season Tickets, They are my team.

I reiterate...they can be your team from the standpoint of a fan but (to essentially paraphrase Colin Cowherd as I cant remember exactly how he put it), you are not a direct part of that team. You are not one of the players who puts in hours of blood, sweat and tears in the summertime to make it on the 53 man roster. You are not one of the many staff who put in hours a week to make sure things are run smoothly. You do not have a direct share in the team like the owners and investors do. You buy your tickets and have for years (and as I said that is to be highly lauded), but that does not mean that when you are talking about your favorite team you cant say "we" as you are not one of the many people directly involved day to day in the operation of that team. Now youre season tickets may go toward that end but still, you are a fan of your team just like I am. That is why its a peeve to me. Too many people talking about a team like they are directly involved day to day.

Well my eagles won yesterday, and my phillies won the world series. No one else's phillies, my phillies.

When someone asks you, who's your team? What do you say? My team is the bucs. Not..... umm I actually don't "have" a team, but the team I support is the bucs.

Who cares about your little technicalities

I will admit that I do use the phrase "my team" when I talk about the teams I support. The big issue for me is when they talk about "we did this" or "we did that" when talking about the team they support. the "We" is the bigger part of the pet peeve
