Analysis: We've seen the act from these guys before and I would expect similar if not more lopsided results. Willie Williams no longer appears on their roster. So there goes the great fodder for the LUnatics.

Oh how you doubt us.

They still have the kid whose femur was broken by Ryan Greiser. While we don't make fun of injuries, we will make sure he remembers that 24 is still on the field.

I never doubted your group's ability to get inside the opposition's heads. But you have to admit that Willie would've been fun. :D

He could've been but after two seconds he would've stayed as far away from us as possible. It's what they all do.

He is on the roster but not listed as participating in the opener so he's probably no longer on the team. Yeah we talked about him in the preseason opponents analysis.

Don't worry even if Willie isn't playing the LUnatics still have some fodder. Jerry Seymour is a Central Michigan reject. He was their starting RB as a freshman and was an all-MAC selection or something like that, then got the boot for assault or something of the like. Do some research, it'll be there.

Seriously, I just happened to get on and was like what the heck is this. I don't want to get involved in that mess over there, so can somebody please tell me why it matters? I've been to games at South Carolina, North Carolina, Clemson, UVA, and at all these schools you see a mix. Some of the more "society" or fraternity types that go with the "southern" look, dress up, because to them it's an "occasion", but they were polos that are orange, or blue, or garnet, or white shirt and tie that is that color. The rest of the kids where the school color on the t-shirt. So what's the big deal here? If there's some kids here that think LU football is an "event" then who cares, at least they are coming! Yes I would hope they were red. But does our student fan base really need to be this childish and have a huge split in it about a freaking fashion statement? We had 15,000+ people there for a game against North Greenville, three years ago we couldn't get 3,000 for Gardner Webb, or Coastal. So let's just wear red, whether it's a polo, a tie, a dress, a t-shirt, heck if a guy wants to wear red pants at least its red! And lets get everyone's butts in the seats and cheer on the Flames!

Tailback Terry Williams is out for the season with torn knee ligaments. And starting tailback Rashad Jennings, who ran for 100 yards and two TD's Saturday night, broke his pinky finger early in the game. He'll have surgery this week ...

I am glad we have one more of these games so people can get healthy...I hope Rashad can get healthy, but what a luxery it is to have a guy like Zach Terrel on the team....he is always valuable, but his value is sometimes overlooked by some...

anyways...should be a good game (for Liberty that is)...I just realized 3 days ago that its this Saturday a very good friend is getting married on Saturday....I thought it was next Saturday...but I was informed by the wife that it is indeed this saturday...which means I will miss my first LU home game in 4 years.....sad...

Well remember while Rashad was out last year (albeit for totally different reasons) Zach was absolutely money as the feature back in the backfield. we may see more of BJ Hayes in the 2 back situations in this fan's (and blog writer's) humble opinion

BJ, even on the article it said we would move Zach back to tailback with Broggins backing him up.

What is funny from my perspective for this article to come out just as I am driving by Cerritos College and Long Beach ...

With Nick Hursky out for Saturday’s game with Glenville State, Liberty’s already muddled linebacker situation has turned even messier.
Hursky had successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Monday. At practice Wednesday, Hursky looked to be walking fine and was wearing only a soft brace on the knee. He said last week that he hopes to return for the Sept. 13 game at Western Carolina, and Liberty coach Danny Rocco confirmed that timeline Tuesday.
Doncel Bolt, a transfer from Cerritos (Calif.) Community College, will get his first start at the Mike linebacker spot Saturday.
Hursky’s surgery was scheduled before Liberty’s 49-10 win over North Greenville. Still, Hursky played the first half and made six tackles, including 1 ½ for loss. Rocco wanted Bolt to play the majority of the second half, and the sophomore responded by making four tackles.
“Doncel Bolt looked very comfortable in the game, played very physical, very hard,” Rocco said. “We’re very confident and optimistic about his ability to run our defense.”

Game Notes for this week

Depth chart is on page 7 for all those worrying.

Only thing that's "messed up" is the HB position being called HB and not AB.

Since 2006, Liberty’s football program has given local fans an introduction to regional Division II football.
In each of Danny Rocco’s three seasons, LU has opened with two home games against DII opponents. Glenville State will end the string today with its second visit to Lynchburg in three years.
The Flames haven’t come close to losing any of these games, but how much has playing a steady stream of DII schools actually helped Liberty?
Not much, if you look at the results of Week 3 games in the Rocco era.
Liberty has played its first Division I opponent on the road in each of the last two seasons and lost both times.
