Does this hurricane change anything that will be going on tonight? Does this take away from the audience that would have normally watched and lastly can the Democrats use the argument "New Orleans is suffering again and you're hold a convention?"

Actually, I think they are only having a 330-530 session for "essential business" today. The rest of the festivities are on hold until tomorrow.

I think this actually works out better for McCain. Bush and Cheney have cancelled their appearances at the convention. This means that Obama and the Dems won't have even more chances to link them as the campaign moves on.

Hopefully the convention receives the same coverage as the Dems did, although I doubt that will happen especially if there is significant flooding in NO.

You can bet on better coverage from FOX News than they gave the Dems.

NOT voting Obama at all...I will be casting my vote for McCain-Trophy VP ticket.

I was commenting on the fact that MSNBC and CNN had pretty much gavel to gavel coverage, while FOX News ran with their regular programming schedule.

Yeah, but they are doing that for this too though...I personally rather listen to commentators talk during the no name cheerleaders that are grasping to their 4 minutes of fame...this goes for Reps & Dems I could careless to hear the Republican from the 23330 district in South Carolina....maybe I should give them a chance though...i figure though if it's good enough they'll talk about it

So the protestors still showed up here and I hope there are no real crimes happening in St. Paul this week as the police have their hands full. A lot of speeches are cancelled and for good reason, Laura Bush is here.
