Ok volleyball friends, what did you see tonight? Did the team look as good or better than last year? Any highlights to talk about? How many fans? What was the energy like in the gym?
The Defense looks very good. I think much better than last year. A couple of the coaches played (Crystal Carey, and Jonathan Willis). Players were doing a great job flying to the ball on defense. Others that were there like, HMO, Hurricane fan, and Vadim can elaborate more on the team. But the defense was mainly my observation tonight.
Seemed as if our timing was a little off, although I'm not to worried having watched them in practice and knowing its not a problem. IMO we're far ahead of where we were last year at this time. Our defense is better and offense is the same except putting Nik on the outside which will only make us better in the long run, it'll take some time but she'll have it down like a pro here after a few tough teams (aka this weekend)

The team looks much better this year than they did last year. There were moments of sloppy play, but coach was swapping girls between the teams, so it was hard to keep the flow the same. Nicki seemed a little uncomfortable at the outside position, but it takes awhile to get the timing down and feel for the new position. She was devastating from the right side. BP played very well on the right side. Kelly was impressive. Claire crushed some back row attacks and Boggs was involved in at least 4 jousts that I saw and she won every one. Jess looked very strong. The defense on both sides of the net was active and effective.
