Win four (4) press box passes for seats in the Beaver Stadium Press Box for the Penn State/Coastal Carolina game on 8/30. The passes not only allow you to see the game as the media that cover Penn State see it, they give you access to the field at the end of the game and to Coach Paterno's post-game press conference.

I have to admit I have never heard of this happening anywhere. Personally I take it as an afront to my fellow journalists. So much for the pressbox remining somewhat neutral. The bidding is already up over $700.

I can see where you are coming from Sly but I'm sure they know that all their press passes won't be used up since it's a CCU game. I don't see this becoming the norm, just a gimmick to let fans get a different sort of experience. It's not like they're trying to auction them to actual press members.

Most reporters are too busy gorging on the free press box food to be bothered with the actual game in progress. At least, this way, someone up there will actually be paying attention to the field.

And this basically tells the winner that he has to abide by the no-cheering rule in press boxes.

There ahve been 45 bids, but only 9 unique bidders. Looks like "chuckie" capped out at $700 lol.
