Solution: Marry a football fan.

If we were local (and by that I mean anywhere within a two-hour drive), we'd be there for pretty much every home game.

Of course, last year my wife wore her Patriots jersey to church Superbowl Sunday night -- and she did the special music that night.

Bingo.

It's how I got away with Sunday Ticket. I give up most college football games (which is why I got the DVR package...she still hasn't figured out how to use it yet) on Saturday for the NFL on Sunday afternoons.

However, after February 3rd, I'm indebted to her until August.

With all due respect to spousal relations, I'd love to return attention to the matter at hand ...

Yeah baby! The summer is almost over!

I haven't checked the weather forecast for Saturday; anyone know if there's any chance for rain?

Question of the day: How much $$$$$ does it take to 1. Get someone to give TRBC our info so we can get a quick blast to thousands of people who would be likely to go 2. If the info was shared then have it be announced?

Ever since Doc (who would find out things like scores, times of games etc on his own) passed away LU sports has been mentioned only a handful of times...it's not tough to give Jonathan a index card with a quick bullet point on everything going on in the next week and maybe things like SEASON HOME OPENERS! geeeeeeez

he was too busy telling people to not park at toys r us...come on man! haha

I agree though...but if you own a tv and watch channel 13 for like 2 minutes you are guaranteed to see an add for the season opener...it airs all the time

yeah...it just makes to much sense though...I mean we're willing to PAY for a commercial to be aired and viewed by thousands of people yet we cant take the 5 minutes to get the same amount of exposure for FREE...lol

Ever stopped to think maybe Jonathan doesn't care about sports as much as his dad did? I'm not saying that's the case, but it could be.

i'd say he doesn't since he never mentions it, but I agree with HMO that it would be nice to drop a 5 sec mention of the home opener.

Oh there's no question he doesnt care as much...so yes I've thought about it...I've heard him say "I dont follow sports like my father did but I'm more then willing to announce anything regarding them as LONG AS I'M GIVEN THE INFORMATION"

And that statement was after something important (MBB Big South game?) wasnt mentioned and his response "I had no idea"

yeah, this just shows how dumb the people from student activities are. I work at the master's inn and I will not be working this event. I will be tailgating all day and be in the stadium by 6 like a true fan.

Maybe it should have said... or show them you are a true loser and have no life and stay the whole time!!!

On Greiser:
Coach Rocco wrote:
Expecting him to have a great season...playing with an awful lot of confidence...finds himself in a lot of really good spots...moved him to the "money" linbacker position in the nickel package...gives us more speed on 3rd down...can be "that" type of player for us this season...smart, physical kid
Coach told #24 he thinks 5 INTs are possible for him- RG responded, "why not 8"
Coaching changes

It appears your intel was on the mark.
