I know Sly posted an article in the non-lu sports forum about childers being sick, but Coastal is really having problems with their QB's thus far. First Childers who was labeled as the #1 guy goes down, now the supposed #2 qb, the transfer from wake, didn't pass the conditioning test. So, they're back to Richardson as their qb for now.

I know our game with them is still 2 months from now, but if they don't get this issue resolved I don't see them being able to score with us.

Not passing a conditioning test can keep a kid from starting?? Is this the teams test, or something from a medical doctor? If a team test, he still has almost a month of camp to get in better shape...

It's the team's test, much like we have our tests run by BG at the beginning of camp. I'm not sure if he can regain his starting spot by passing the test later on or not.

I tell you what folks; I'm fired up about going to Penn State this weekend, but there isn't a team on this schedule that I want to beat down more than Liberty. Not a one.

They have 1 good season out of their last 20 - with a bunch of D-I castoffs for various reasons - and they think their you-know-what doesn't stink. I wish we could move them to this weekend and play them now.

'89: 7-3 ranked as high as #9
'90: 7-4 ranked as high as #8
'92: 7-4 ranked #19 at end of year
'95: 8-3 ranked half the year
'97: 9-2 ranked most the year and as high as #19, beat #15 App St

Sure we haven't made the playoffs yet, but we've had more than 1 good year.

good points. my ccu friend missed the mark just a bit on his smack, but i'd guess he was drawing more from this history....

Liberty is 172-190-4 all time for a total "winning" percentage of 0.475

with all those nice years you mentioned, there must've been some hellacious ones mixed in there to bring the winning percentage down like that....and yes, I am trying to stir the pot...

Yes, you're right we've had some bad years. It doesn't take many 1-10 or 2-9 seasons to kill an overall winning percentage. Also, if he'd have said the last 10 years they only had one good season he would have been MORE than accurate.
