Little D's teammate at Brookville is getting some bigtime look and we have apparently offered already ... He also is a top WR prospect in football with offers from UVa, VT and others.

Logan is great!!!!! I love this kid. He is the nephew of former Liberty Running back Charles McCray who was a great Brookville Bee himself way back when. He is the son of former Lady Flames volleyball player Kim Thomas. They are also related to Jim Thomas of the Reber-Thomas Dining Hall fame. He has a ton of Liberty pedigree but if he lands at LU it will be a small miracle. I watched him play this summer and he dunked on the Whole Darn Team" as they like to say at VMI. He is a terrific football player too. He has already been offered a full ride in football and basketball at Virginia Tech. I would love him to be a Flame though. His cousin is Zach McCray (Charles' son) and Zach is younger and also pretty gifted as an athlete.

Logan actually played QB for Brookville this year, but the schools that are looking at him for football may be projecting him as a WR. His mom told me he is almost 6'7 now and still growing. Looks like he is also getting it done big time in the classroom to have Stanford, Navy, Penn and Princeton interested. Logan will have a lot of good options, but after seeing the group RMc was able to bring in for next year, I wouldn't scoff too hard at our chances.

I love Liberty and aim hire then anyone, BUT Logan isn't coming to LU - he's going to play FB at high major program. He's that good.

I'm with proto on this one...I'm best friends with a family member...he's interested in playing both basketball and football...I personally think UNC is going to be his stop although the safe bet is VT or UVa...either way the kids tough...much better at football but seems to love basketball

I actually watched him against Hidden Valley just last week....has anyone seen Hidden Valley play???? WOW they got 2 or 3 DI ball players and one of them made a move I've never seen a High Schooler make....let alone a white one at that!

It would be great to see Lo at LU; however, barring something major it won't happen. His first love has been basketball, but he is beginning to think he may have more options in football. He likes wide receiver better than quarterback. He started at wide receiver this year for the Bees, but they moved him to quarterback beginning with the Salem game (third game of the season). The kids an athlete, and an incredibly grounded guy. He will be successful at a major DI school, no problem!

Is it safe to say that Logan is NO LONGER a prospect since we're not even in his top seven?

That's not his biological father...lucky for him (on several levels) his biological father actually played for LU and was a BIG boy

Logan was never a legitimate LU prospect, offer or not. No offense, but he's high DI FBS level in football and an ACC prospect for hoops. Way, way above LU's level.

Logan's mom Kim is also about 6'1, and a former LU vollyballer. I know we were never really in the running for him, but he is just the kind of prospect I believe we will have a shot at before too long. I'm just enough of a dreamer to believe that Rocco and McKay are on track to elevate the credibility of our programs to the point that someone like Logan, a strong christian kid with LU connections, would not rule us out because we don't play in a BCS level conference.

The credibility increase in the LU athletic program in the three years I've been here has been nothing short of stunning. I don't think it's that far-fetched of a dream, to be honest.

Logan is an amazing kid. He played QB. WR, LB, DB, P, K and I think he even went and sold concessions and took tickets too. He was voted top player in the area by the Society of Seven Sports Club and awarded the Titan Trophy on Tuesday evening. His teammate Stacey Houston was also a finalist

That's high praise and praise that I think is very justified. I don't think I've ever seen such a turnaround of a program in such a short of time--no matter what level of competition.

We can always hope for homesickness after his first semester away from home, can't we. :)

Probably not. :( You'll notice that of all the schools on his list, only Tennessee and Clemson are more than a couple of hours away. His mom really wants him to go somewhere close, and I think he does too. He'll get home a lot, and his family will go to all his games. Since he was a kid Logan had dreamed of playing hoops for Carolina, and Roy Williams has offered him a guaranteed walk-on spot if he goes there on a football schollie. So have most of the other schools on his list. As of now though, he plans on playing only football for at least a year to be sure he can get it done in the classroom.
