This players had a fairly minor run-in with the law and then blew his chance with the probation program. From what I hear he is not a bad kid at heart and certainly is very talented. Not sure if LU needs help at this position and would tolerate his mistakes but this guy has high Big 10 level skills.

Sorry I would pass on him, he maybe a good kid. But someone with anger problem especially toward women is risky. I say that I don't know all the happened between him and his girlfriend in the incident. This reminds me of Lawrence Phillips at Nebraska and his problem with anger, etc.
Also since he cannot follow the program completely leads me to believe he is not responsible on working to get himself back in good grace.

I'm all for giving players a second chance but when they can't finish their probation program, they probably aren't going to remain real focused on the field.

Personally I believe every case should be assessed on an individual level. If this kid does indeed have Big Ten skills then there will certainly be a number of schools giving him a chance.

When the Vince Redd case is brought up, I think it needs to be taken in context with Coach Rocco having coached him at UVa before he came to LU. I seriously doubt we would've given him that type of opportunity without the preexisting relationship.

In our last 4 bowl games, all played in the South, with the SEC UW is 2-2. All the games were very close except our win 24-10 over Auburn

The top recently drafted lineman from UW in the NFL is Joe Thomas who made starter in his first year in the NFL and is an All Pro.

I was only referring to the Big 10 in general, of which I am not a fan. BUT, I can respect Wisconsin, who I believe is the darkhorse in this year's national title hunt. Good program, and Camp Randall is a nice place.

I'd take him. Everybody does something really stupid their freshman year. Fortunately, most of us weren't arrested for it.

Besides, our coaching staff has a history of making guys "see the light".

sorry to say but, this guy is a ten foot pole guy. as in, wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. i live in ohio and there is more to the story than what was in print here. you can search around the net to see some of the details, but he is NOT someone you want to be associated with the program.
