You were the leader of the group LU Students for Obama. Since day one you have insulted Liberty and all it stands for. You say that we brainwash people, and yet you have no interest in God whatsoever. Do not say "that school does not stand for Christ" when you havent communicated with him for years. You have 0 authority to make any claims against LU.

You have come on this board saying that we are cult members, that we are all ignorant sob's. I am a Liberty Student and I thought about voting for Obama. honestly...how do you expect to be taken seriously by talking like that? Are you honestly going to let a few people get under your skin THAT much? Like I said on the other thread, I realize not everybody on this board was being exactly nice about this whole thing, but overall everybody was being civil towards you and in the questions they asked. I even sent you a PM explaining to you that we just have questions. You just directed me to the blog you posted that I had alread read. Then when I responded with a few more questions you claimed that your answer wasn't "good enough" for me when I did not say that at all.

I am not huge on bringing what is said in PM's to the public forum, but you mentioned it in another post of yours. Its as if you expect us to read your blog on why you support Obama and be completely satisfied with that and not ask more questions. I am like many people in this country, I do not know who I am voting for. McCain has not done anything to sell me on him either and I ask McCain supporter the same kind of tough questions. The difference is they don't get angry. You are not the first Obama supporter to get angry at me or people I know for simply asking questions.

Why should Obama be free of questioning?? He is just like any other man...he needs to be questioned...it just make sense...

as far as you getting angry about the info being posted about you no longer being a student...sure it was kind of harsh...but in reality if you had no deceived the media then we wouldn't make it a point to make people aware that you are no longer a student at LU...its an accuracy thing...something the media isn't so good at these days....

so you can cry and curse us out all you want...but you are only make yourself look worse and confirming any negative stereotyped people may have of obama supporter. Whether they are right or not...

Honestly, how can one who outright lies about her own ties be trusted to be a local leader for a presidential candidate. I think she actually hurts Obama's credibility as a candidate if folks with such disregard for the truth support him.

Why don't you get it through your thick heads that I did NOT deceive the media?

I TOLD EVERY PERSON in the media that I talked to my situation. That I was only on campus ONE semester. Then, I transferred to DLP. THEN I wasn't sure what I was doing this coming fall. And that I had applied to Lynchburg College, as an option.

So, I did not deceive the media. If anyone did, it was the SFBO State Coordinator, who put me in the position where it was "questionable" about whether or not I should hold the position, since I was a DLP student.

As for explaining my support of Obama further, I can't. I'm sorry if that does not please you. But I've already told you why I support him. And I know why. So what can I do? I'm certainly not going to go on and bash McCain, because that's not a way to go. The biggest reason I don't support him is just because he supports the war, and has pretty much said he doesn't care if we have to be over there another 100 years.

McCain actually said he doesn't care if we have to have a presence their for 100 years...not that he hopes the war goes on for 100 years...the military has bases all over the world....I am not saying I agree completely with what McCain was saying...but that is what he said...just something else the media chooses to ignore...the same kind of way the Media obviously ignored the facts in your case...

You're lucky I didn't have time to go to your precious school to meet with a conduct officer, because you all probably would have been in trouble, if so. I dropped it though, because I don't have time to go meet with some regulation drone for half an hour, when they could have just read the original thread that started this all, found out who were LU students, and handed out reps like candy.

And I can assure you that everything on this board is monitored by the school. And there have been repercussions to some posters for things that have been written.

As for the media, I see what you are saying. The implication is that Manuel is duplicitous in how he worked the story because if he told all of the facts it wouldn't have made his package as interesting. I get that and for that I have no issues with you ... now for my journalistic counterparts it is a different story. I have witnessed that type of work in the past and it reveals a great deal about the character of the reporter.

I'm just not talking to the media anymore. Instead of this being about my support of a politician, I feel like a politician, because of all the crap I've gotten about it.

I'm almost starting to regret that I even took the Chapter Coordinator position. And I could kill my Field Organizer for giving my name to the local news, which kicked off Media Fest 2008 for me. I wish people would ask before assuming it's OK.

I on the other hand would love to see what she has to say about her Candidate of choice and defend his positions. I would think this would be good practice for her in her role as coordinator. She is going to have to defend his positions somewhere, why not here? So let's focus on that instead of making her wast her time defending herself.

I'm not coordinator anymore. I stepped down when I withdrew from Liberty last week. I have done all the research I can do on Obama, because nothing else is available to look at (I've had the same problem when researching Tom Perriello for Congress.) So, I have nothing more to offer than what I've already said. I just have to defend my position with what I DO know. I'm actually going to stay out of the limelight some, because I don't want anymore trouble. The remaining members of the LU Students for Barack Obama can take that stuff on, especially the media. I'm done.

Why not post, one by one, a list of Barry's positions on varying topics, from Taxes, to Health Care etc, state his position and why you believe that it is the best way to do things. It may spur more focused debate but the downside would be that you may feel you are being attacked by those who do not feel the same way. Just a thought.
