15 days until the opening ceremonies. What sports do you look forward to the most? What sports do you watch that you normally don't care about?

I just hope the endurance events don't get cancelled due to smog.

I tend to watch softball and soccer...don't really care about Olympic tennis.

Oh yeah, Iraq has been banned from this year's games.

I watch everything I can, this year I will pay special attention to soccer... I have always enjoyed swimming and diving events, some great athletes there.

Even with all of the steroids, I still enjoy the track & field events. I'm far from excited about it, but I'll watch the mens basketball.

The athletes I am most looking forward to watching are Phelps & Hansen in the pool as well as Jeremy Wariner on the track.

But my favorite Olympian is easily Laura Wilkinson. Go ahead and add this post to the 101 thread because I have known her for years and we go to the same church (her husband teaches the sunday school class next door to mine). She is retiring after returning from from Beijing but she is giving it one last try to capture another gold medal like she did back in 2000. She is using this trip as another opportunity to share the Gospel as well.

They're from Jamaica...they cant win in the winter games...I'm sure they have an advantage in the summer games

Hey now, T&F is just leading the way in drug testing. Between that and cycling, they are pretty much the only 2 sports willing to eat their own to clean up their respective sports. Baseball is coming around...slowly. I wonder how long it will take for the NFL to crack down like they do in track. I don't see it happening.

Once they figure out HGH then they will...all the sports are doing all they can...but they are still playing catch up...and I dont know who's to blame more for their sport being as messed up as it is...baseball or T&F...IMO T&F

Yup BMX was added to the Cycling events starting with Beijing so now you have Road Racing, Time trial, track cycling, Mountain Bikes, and BMX
