Once upon a time(probably 6-7 years ago), the LU Alumni Connections board showed some promise. But it has been dead for so long that hardly anyone even knows of its existence. Apparently, that is just as well:

Dear LU Alumni,

Effective June 20, 2006, the Office of Alumni Affairs has decided to discontinue
the LU Alumni Online Community through The Harris Online Service. Cost for the
Online Community and the lack of participation were a couple of the factors that have
weighed in on this decision.

Effective immediately, we will be communicating and advertising to LU Alumni via
Facebook (www.facebook.com). Currently there are over 20,000 LU Alumni who
are registered users of Facebook.com. If you need help establishing a Facebook
account or have any questions concerning the move to Facebook, please email
us at alumni@liberty.edu or call 800-628-7973.

Obviously I would prefer this forum be the place of choice for LU alumni and not Facebook. Perhaps now is the time to start making a push to fill the gap. Facebook is great for recent grads but us Old Hags are not as likely to be on there.
