Some of my favorite shows are on Cable TV now and not network TV:

Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Extras on HBO are all Great. Curb and Extras is done though I think
The Shield - FX
Mad Men - AMC
Hotel Babylon - BBC America
My Boys and Bill Engvall - TBS
The Boondocks - Cartoon Network (this show could be offensive to some though because of language even though most is bleeped out. There is a ton of urban slang used too).

I know USA does a ton of original shows like Monk and Burn Notice but I haven't tuned into those yet. I watch In Plain Site on USA about the Witness Protection Program but it is just ok to me.

I had to dumb it down for you guys so I said Urban Slang :P Watch the show and you will know what I mean. Riley Freeman is out of control as an 8 year old. Some really funny social commentary on Black America though.

Breaking Bad - AMC
Top Gear - BBC America (the one problem with this show is that they air the same 5 episodes all the time. And I know they have more than 5 episodes.)
Colbert Report - Comedy Central (I hate the Daily show. Not Funny)
The Soup - E!

I watch the Soup on DVR. I also watch What Not to Wear with MRS SCAR. I get to keep my man card though because I only watch it with her...yeah that's it, I only watch it with her.

Dude, I have to endure that What Not to Wear business along with a ton of decorating shows when the weather is lousy outside. Now that the sun is up late I stay outside as long as I can.

Mrs. Sly thinks My Boys is a riot. I am undecided since the suspension of belief about sports journalists is a bit much.

And I know what the shots this will inspire, but my son and I watch Man vs. Wild every week. Its our thing and it inspires some great discussions between an Old Hag and his 6-year-old son.

Most of my non-sports viewing on the channels tends to revolve around what is in HD on the science and travel oriented nets. I wish more travel channel shows were in HD since that network screams for it. The ones on HDnet tend to be lame as far as content but I'll watch just for the visuals. If I didn't have small children at home I would be doing a travel show. Perhaps once the kids are finally out of the nest and I am on Social Security a couple decades from now.

Well at some point you're going to have to grow out of the Beavis stage of clothing. Maybe that's cool up in the q-c, but obviously the mrs thinks differently.

Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, The Soup. Those are the ones we watch regularly when they're in season.

I was just goofing off here at work and I found some info indicating NBC is doing an american version of this show this fall. What's NBC's deal with taking BBC shows? So if you want to get on the "THE BRITISH VERSION IS BETTER" band wagon, now's the time! I've already signed up. The american hosts will be Adam Caroll (manshow/lovelines guy), Tanner Foust (Drift racer), and Eric Stromer (HGTV construction guy). I hope they keep the show edgy and offensive.

No, if you look closely it was on my list. LOVED the show. It will be interesting to see how the wrap everything up the next half of the season. They sort of fast forwarded through a lot of stuff to get from the Discovery to getting to their final destination. My other question is: Is that REALLY earth?? I was expecting sort of a Planet of the Apes cliff hanger, but didnt get it. Ok so there were some ruins, but none from earth, more from their Mythology. I think that the Cylons that rebelled will live well with the humans. The plot twist of destroying the resurrection ship was EXCELLENT, now the Cylons need to be more careful!! I see a machine rebellion led by Baltar, and the "older" model Cylons along with the remaining Cylons forming a coalition to wipe out the Rebelious Cylons and humans. Can't wait!! Baltar is such a tool. But SIX and Starbuck are VERY hot!!
