About Phil Laurent
Laurent rejoins the Rascals this season after being signed by the San Diego Padres last season. Laurent played in 57 games for River City last year and hit .341 with 12 HR and 46 RBI which helped make him a 2007 Frontier League All-Star. The left-hander played all three outfield positions last season, but figures to solidify the right field spot in 2008. When Laurent was picked up on July 25, he was the lone individual to be in the top ten in batting average, top five in home runs and top five in RBI in the Frontier League.
