well this is all directed at sly, so others please do not come back with all this stuff about the ACC not winning a title.

1. 4 teams are east of the mississippi---I thought baseball was only good west of the mississippi sly???
2. three are from the ACC----hmmm....the ACC is proving it every year they they are a legit baseball conference

with all joking with sly aside, who do you think the favorites are?? i really like carolina's chances as well as miami, but rice and stanford could take it as well. im looking at a miami/carolina final. any thoughts???

Looking at this objectively...yes go ahead and laugh now.. I really like LSU, I think the Heels will definitely be there as well.. Hopefully the 3rd time will be the charm..

As much as I want to see Carolina win it, I still think Miami is the hottest team in the country right now. Maybe not the best, but the hottest.

That being said....GO HEELS!!!

I was passing through Duram/Chapel Hill on Monday and tuned in to ESPN radio someone called in and dropped "at least there is one Fox in Carolina that can win something."

Coke covered my dashboard.

With that being said, UNC wins...and that pains me to type.

The CWS is one of the toughest tourneys to predict since schools play under circumstances unlike anything prior all season. It always comes down to whoever's pitching holds out the longest.

All that said, I'll be honest to say that I haven't followed the action as closely this year as I have in the past by not covering the teams. I can tell you that Rice isn't as strong as they have been in other years when they fizzled at Rosenblatt. But I still like them in their bracket to face the 'Canes.

Coach Fox made the very rare jump from the D3 coaching ranks to a big time D1 job after Roberts was purged at Carolina.

Honestly, as long as its anyone but Miami I'll be happy. I'm just behind the Heels cuz they're close to Virginia.

UGA just came back on em and beat them pretty good. FSU got the crap kicked out of them by Stanford too. An 11-run 9th? Holy crap.

Carolina lost to Fresno St last night. That Fresno St team just somehow keeps winning.

ACC down to the TarHoles. They can do it, but will be difficult coming out of the losers bracket. Rooting for Fresno St. would be a good story for a small school.

ACC is about to choke out of this one again. I worried about the Carolina/LSU game.

agreed. LSU is scary and the heels seem to be off a bit. and yes the ACC has disappointed again. it is gret to have so many teams get there, but they need to finish. at least rice lost and no other texas teams are there!

Yeah...it will be tough for Carolina to beat LSU & then Fresno St twice. Not looking good for the Heels.

Although, last year, the Heels lost to Rice in the second round, then beat Louisville, then beat Rice twice to get back to the championship. So, they have done it before. We'll just have to see.

GO HEELS!!!

I think the winner of tonight's game will be Fresno State twice. It's fixin' to turn midnight for Cinderella.
