[Hold My Own]

Ok...I need to find more music...I need some music similar to the W Hotels soundtrack...which is kind of electronic although you'll hear a lot of old favorites such as "uninvited" and other good 80's songs remixed to a good beat.

Question do any of you know of any artists or DJ's like Moby and others who take good songs and remix them to a good beat? I'm really looking for New York style music (modern)

Oh...no idea who did it, but there is a remix of Aha's Take On Me out there as well...it was played during vball games a couple seasons ago.

So in my search of new music I have to go song by song reading the lyrics to make certain nothing sneaks by me...I'm really struck my Moby's lyrics...most of them are about God and so I did some searching and he's a Christian, which is very odd in the genre of music that he does (most being strung out club dweller DJ's)

Anyone on here familiar with Andy Hunter? He's one of the few that I came across that is a Christian in this genre

So I'm a fan of anything new and this whole genre has really got my attention...has anyone ever heard of Tiesto? He's supposed to be one of the best DJ's in the world right now...it's like a whole other realm of life...he plays concerts for 250,000 people at one time...crazy...youtube this guy in action...it's impressive

I've heard nothing but good things about Tiesto. I'm not into that style of music but I had planned on trying to catch a little of his act at Bonnaroo next month. A lot of people are pretty upset that he got the same time slot as My Morning Jacket (which is where I'll be).

He actually just came out with a new album called "Color" I played a few tracks off that album on my show at the end of this past semester. Very fun stuff indeed.

I used to go to Bonaroo every year with my cousin but I didnt go the last 2 years... Nothin like camping out with a bunch of people on acid haha
