Fin bits: Lekkerkerker signs with Cowboys; Gado to Pats?

Cory Lekkerkerker, who played 11 games and had two starts at left guard for the Dolphins last season, signed with the Cowboys today. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Lekkerkerker will be reunited with line coach Hudson Houck, who was fired when Bill Parcells took over and quickly joined the Cowboys staff. …

An NFL source tells me running back Samkon Gado has a tryout scheduled with the Patriots. Gado was a restricted free agent the Dolphins declined to bring back. He’s one of those depth backs who produces whenever he gets a shot. It’s not difficult to see him — or new Jets back Jesse Chatman, for that matter — haunting the Dolphins this year. …
The Browns today signed Jereme Perry, who joined the injury-riddled Dolphins secondary Nov. 7 and played the final four games. He will replace the recently cut Kenny Wright in Cleveland. …

It’ll be a while before the top draft picks, including new Dolphins Phillip Merling and Chad Henne, start getting signed. One insider told me today the Bears, usually the first to get the ball rolling on contracts for first-day draftees, haven’t sent out their offers yet. …
