I would be a Chris Paul homer had they stayed in Charlotte. He grew up 25 minutes from me. However, seeing my favorite team's owners turn their back on the city and leave town leaves me a little bitter. I'll never pull for the Hornets again.

shhhh...don't let the secret out, evidently its a 2 team race and the Magic shouldn't even be talked about, even if they were the only team in the NBA to beat the Pistons and Celtics TWICE....

I would be happy with an Eastern Finals appearance (and by appearance I mean a 6 or 7 game series)...making it to the Finals would be absolutely amazing, no doubt about it...
Yeah, beat Celtics in middle November in Orlando when each team hadn't even played 10 games yet, so basically a meaningless win in essence at this point in the season, then the Magic got handed a 12 point beat down in Boston, then at full strength the Magic - at home - required a miracle 3 at the buzzer to beat Boston minus their best player in Kevin Garnett.
your point??? the Celtics hardly struggled without Garnett...which is why he shouldn't win MVP...

I am not saying the Magic are better then the Celtics...that would be crazy

They are much better then anybody gives them credit for and I guess you have fallen into the media trap....oh well

If the Magic do make it to the east finals with the Celtics I would expect nothing less then a 6 game series

the celtics are inexplicably terrible on the road all of a sudden. i've never seen a team do so well at home like they have against the hawks and then clearly look like in the inferior team on the road. their's no excuse for how poorly they play in the 4th quarter on the road.

i thought the celtics could compete for hte title, but i have to say, whoever comes out of the east will stand no chance against whoever comes out of the west. the lakers, hornets, and spurs would handle the eastern teams with ease.

the east looks a lot more wide open then people thought going into this whole thing that is for sure...and to all the nba haters...you missed a great game tonight....

Agreed, and now they have a new team with owners who make the Hornets owners look like mensa members.

How about the Hawks? If they upset the Celtics...it's by far the biggest upset in the history of the NBA.

so much for the vaunted Magic from Orlando, get beat in 5 games and lose the last two with the Pistons missing arguably their best player...

I wish I could figure out who you root for, so I can figure out why you pick random teams to be bitter against... the Magic ALWAYS have problems with the Pistons, and these games were VERY close. The fact that the Magic could come into Detroit and almost extend the series shows a lot. They are young, and the Pistons are a Eastern Conference Dynasty, so I am not thinking this is so much an insult to the Magic as it is a compliment for the Pistons.

And I love how you toss in the excuse even tho they win. That's cute. I would ARGUE that Billups is at least the second best player, if not the third, behind definitely Hamilton and possibly Prince or Wallace. They are a GREAT team who can hurt you in so many ways, and their defense is TREMENDOUS.

Prince is nowhere close to being better than Billups...when's the last time Prince was all-nba? exactly, never.

When is the last time you thought for yourself and didn't let just simple stats and awards decide for you?

2 games without Prince would be ALOT worse than 2 games without Billups.

and you didn't even begin to aruge that he was better than Rip or Sheed, because you know he isn't.

Nor did you address anything else.

You are one heck of a sports "fan". I think you need to go work for ESPN. Skip Bayless needs someone to fill in for him every once in a while.

Congrats Pistons. If they can play D like that the rest of the way, I can't see them losing. It's just an issue of staying out of foul trouble and scoring enough to keep things close.

Sorry for thinking that losing your best defender who brings you double digit scoring and key defensive stops and rebounds would hurt more than a point guard... who's backup comes in and has no turnovers in a series clinching game.

I have to say the NBA coaches who vote on awards know a hell of a lot more about basketball than you'll ever dream of knowing, but God forbid anyone with significantly more knowledge than you disagrees with you

by the way, there is a lot more to being a PG than just turnovers and Rodney Stuckey comes no where close to filling the void left by Chauncey Billups who brings good D, matchup problems due to his strength and size, and clutch scoring to the table, but no the Pistons aren't missing anything with him out of the lineup

I never said they weren't missing anything... you are truly incompetent at arguing.

I just can't stand you buying into this lame SportsCenter bullcrap and spreading it as if it's some original idea. They are just fine without Billups, which is why he didn't play when he probably could have played. They knew that their chances with Stuckey were just as good if not better than their chances with a 80-90% Billups.

So the coaches have voted Billups as an all-nba player, not SportsCenter. He has also been an all-star reserve for three-straight seasons, meaning the coaches, not SportsCenter, thought he was one of the best players in the eastern conference. The coaches have NOT voted Prince to the all-nba team nor have they chosen him to be on the all-star team. This clearly shows that the coaches, the ones who know the most about basketball, clearly view Billups as a better player than Prince. I don't know how the most knowledge hoops minds in the world choosing Billups over Prince as SportsCenter crap when SportsCenter has nothing to do with it. Tayshaun Prince is a good player in his own right, but he is a role player and nothing else. Chauncey Billups is an all-star, an all-nba caliber player, and is one of the best PGs in the entire NBA.

But God forbid the most knowledgeable minds in the basketball world say otherwise!

what asinine statement are you going to come up with next, Chris Paul the most overrated PG in the league?

Sorry for thinking that losing one of the best defensive PGs in the league who can give you 15-30 points a game, 5-10+ assists, 90+% FT shooting, 40% 3 point shooting, 45% overall shooting, and key devensive stops and clutch baskets hurts more than losing a role player...

vaunted Magic?? the Magic are much, much better then they were last year...with that said they are still young and still learning how to win. That could be seen with the amount of turnovers and missed free throws last night....I had high hopes for this team and thought they were better then anybody gave them credit for (and still do)...they fact that they turned the ball over 21 times and missed half their free throws and were still in it at the end shows that they must have some kind of talent to not get blown out in that kind of situation....

next year this team will only get better....and the Pistons better get there act together or they will be out in 4 or 5 games to whoever comes out of the Boston/Cleveland series

Boston lost 16 games all year before the playoffs.....pretty tough to say they suck on the road. Are they struggling in the playoffs, sure....but suck on the road is way over the top.

0-5 on the road in the playoffs and they got destroyed in 4 of them. they can win all the road games they want to in the regular season, but the fact of the matter is that they suck on the road right now in the playoffs when it matters most. if you dont think they suck on the road right now then you obviously haven't been paying any attention at all to the celtics 100% lack of ability to play well on the road in the playoffs.
