If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

You can bring up the injury to lawson in some of those games, but you'd be a complete fool to look past the fact that UNC is a hecck of a lot more talented than nearly every single team they played this year and are certainly more talented than the teams they have struggled against on the road.
This just proves you're an idiot. It doesn't matter how, why, or by how much you win the game, just that you win it.

Yeah i'm sure struggling against UVa and GA Tech on the road is really assuring

Is anybody (other than Sly) a fan of the University of Texas basketball uniforms? The tops look like a sleeveless "wife beater" T-shirt.

are they those tight nike uniforms with the really baggy shorts like florida and ohio st. have? if so, then no. I hate all of those horrid uniforms.

wow UCLA!!!

out of conference road victories include Maryland (71-59) and Michigan (69-54)....

They are the most overrated team in the tourney.....what is your logic to pick them (actually the refs have been winning the last 5 games for them, so maybe you're right..)

UCLA's best road win was against Arizona St. 70-49, and every other away game was close...once again, what is your logic??

beat michigan state, beat davidson, beat stanford three times (and one was a road game, so nice research by the way), beat washington state twice (one of those was also a high quality road win), beat arizona twice (also beat them on the road, another quality road win), beat USC twice (another quality road win in there).

Went 19-2 in the #2 RPI conference with an overall SOS of of 14. 11-2 against the RPI top 50. Eight wins on the road/neutral sites against RPI top 50 teams.

They have Kevin Love and Darren Collison and they were also tested hard with some pretty close games against some good teams in the Pac-10.

The Arizona St. win was their largest margin of victory on the road....that was why I mentioned that. Don't forget to include the fact the refs won their games for them against Stanford, Texas A&M, and California in the past month....don't even try to argue that, b/c it was obvious to everyone...

Acc champs UNC played in the #1 RPI conference....so what is your point??

UNC's SOS was #2, so once again.....UNC by your own criteria is better than UCLA

You just don't like UNC??? It's okay, nobody is perfect...

The ACC is the most overrated conference in the country. The ACC's third best team (Clemson) is a team that is notorious for choking and the second best team (Duke) couldn't even make it past the second roud. The fifth best ACC team (VA Tech) couldn't even make it to the finals of the NIT. THe ACC may have been the #1 RPI conference, but only it was extremely top heavy and the bottom of the conference was amongst the weakest of all BCS conferencecs.

Just to answer a few statements made here...

#1 - Roy Williams has stated since the beginning of his coaching career, long before this tournament ever started, that no building has ever won or lost a game for him. Somehow, it has always been decided on the floor by the players. To think this was some sort of mind game he was trying with his players at Charlotte is.......well, at best an uneducated guess, but probably closer to an idiotic statement.

#2 - The OSU game this year was the return game from the previous season. That year, OSU was #1 & UNC was #6 when UNC beat them. This year, OSU sucked, & UNC is in the Final Four. The Heels kept up their end of the bargain, OSU didn't.

The UNC/Kentucky series has been a long running series between the #1 & #2 winning programs in college basketball. It was renewed when Williams came to Carolina because of his friendship with Tubby Smith. They signed a 6 year deal back in 2003 with 3 home & 3 away games, IIRC.

The BYU game was in a tournament. It was to be Louisville (yes, the same team UNC just played in the Elite 8 ), but they didn't hold up their end & got beat by BYU.

#3 - The best four teams in the country made the Final Four....regardless of what anyone thinks about the conference they came from. UCLA has the benefit of their third straight Final Four. Memphis is probably the most athletic team of the four. Kansas is very balanced from top to bottom. UNC has a great trio in Lawson, Ellington, & Psycho-T along with key role players. Anyone of these teams could cut down the nets....its that close.

yeah. all of the number 1 teams just shows how much of a sleeper this years tourney has been. On the bright side, it should make for one of the best final fours in a looooong time.

The first 2 rounds were just as good as any in recent memory. It was this past weekend that was a sleeper with all the top seeds blowing every one out save for Davidson.

if I had to rank the four remaining based on who they ahve played in the tournament and how they have played in the tournament, it would go

#1 UNC
#2 Memphis - although it's more like 1 and 1A with the way memphis demolished texas and michigan state. No team in the country can matchup with their athleticism
#3 UCLA
#4 Kansas

aren't the final four teams supposed to be reseeded anyways, or am I remembering wrong? I swear I heard somewhere that they are supposed to be reseeded.

Yep....back when they had to use a broomstick to knock the ball back out of the peach basket. Naismith thought it was a good idea.
