Duke would not win the NIT this year. Florida is playing much better right now and would beat Duke easily. This is the worst Duke team since Coach K's injury year. Let's face it, they should have lost to Belmont.

Too bad we won't find out, they were in the wrong tournament. Oh, and which of Coach K's teams were worse than this one? And please don't go by their record. Go by who was on the team. This team played in a crappy conference which explains their bloated record.

The only thing I would take back is that Duke would probably give Florida a good game. I still think the gators would win and Duke would struggle in the NIT.

No. They are in the right tournament but I don't think they would win the NIT.

But if they were in the Big East they would probably be 10-6 or something like that. Probably a little worse, depending on which teams they played. I'm not sure how the Big East weights their schedule.

Correction: Last year's Duke Team was worse. Other than 1995-1996 this year is comparable to 96-97 they also went out in the 2nd round so that team was not one Duke's best either.

They need a couple really good recruiting classes because there is no one on their current roster who is going to "get it done."

But seriously tho, WSU was VERY overlooked. Looking thru the "who picked who" on ESPN.com for the brackets, and .11% picked them to win it all.

.07% picked Mount St. Mary.

So there were only about 1400 more people who thought WSU would win it all, than those who thought MSM would.

They were behind all the other 4 seeds, 5 seeds, KState, Kentucky, USC, Butler, and Indiana.

No love for Wazzou. Shame.
