I'm glad it's a substantial donation. I get tired of seeing players or teams give away like $5,000 just to use it as publicity. For what the fund is used for this is a substantial donation. The Yankees are to be commended.

As much as I loathe the Yankees (on the same level with UVA and UofMiami), I am glad to see them make this contribution. Good move that shows great class.

I've got to give credit where credit is due. The Yankees seem to do the right thing most of the time when it comes to charity. I still hate them but the move is commendable.
