Davidson's a very hot team that nobody wants to have to go up against in the tourney. They've won 22 straight and they lost by only a few to top-5's Duke & North Carolina.

They should be seeded somewhere around 7. I think that they'll probally win at least one, possibly 2. They definetly have sweet-16 potential.

Also lost to a bad western michigan team, a bad UNCC team, and a bad NC State team. They may have a shot at winning one, especially if they get a seed they don't deserve, but they aren't a sweet sixteen team.

As opposed to a good NC State team?

no

Now if they lost to UTEP, thats a different story. There is no bad UTEP team

So Con. is much tougher than big south. to go undefeated in the southern conference will set really well with the committee. I think they get a 7 seed

Call me when Davidson or Curry wins 8 out of the next 10 socon championships or actually wins a game in the dance. Or when Curry can actually score on someone who guards him. That guy is waaay overrated. Stick a hand in his face or body him up and he's done.

eh yea... Curry ...that guy's horrible.

He averages 25ppg, shoots nearly 50% from the field as a 2-gaurd, and is undoubtedly one of the deadliest shooters from 3-point land. Also, he's an All-America. Oh, and they WON THE LAST 22 STRAIGHT!

And haven't beaten a team in the RPI top 100 in the last three years. All hype, no bite.

I'll be calling the NCAA instead. There sounds like some kind of eligibility shenanigans going on there.

Ha! Well, he does look 13, so maybe they'll extend some eligibility.

If the FBI weren't breathing down all our necks, I'd take that bet. Curry scores 30 in a first-round flameout.

Last three years? Why would you say last three years when Curry is only a Soph and has only played two? Davidson is the new kid on the block.

They lost by only a few to Duke and North Carolina, and they put a scare into UCLA. They haven't played any of those teams that are in the 50-70 RPI range, so you're argument makes no sense at all.

You've claimed that Winthrop is as good this year as it was last year. We'll Davidson cleaned your clock on your home court, despite an off night for Curry. You hung your hat on an early season win against a very vulnerable Georgia Tech team. It was pointed out to you that UNC-Greensboro also beat Georgia Tech, but you fired back and claimed that UNC-G was a top-tier mid-major and the team to beat in the So-Conf. We'll Davidison disposed of them quite handily in the conference tourney, winning by 30. So, by the criteria that you have used, Davidson must be among the top mid-majors, and quite worthy of their top-25 status.

Sadly for WU fans, your future dreams of world domination may have gone out the window, after Stephon Curry selected Davidson over Winthrop and Gregg Marshall opted for WSU.

Well they can always dominate the Big South. Besides, Peele came in and did a pretty good job I give him props.

More inane dribble from the resident board idiot. I've never claimed this year's WU team is better than last years at any point in time.

Stephon Curry went to Davidson b/c he would have redshirted at Winthrop. I'd say the results have spoken for themselves. Winthrop has gained more press and prestige than Davidson, won bigger games (even this year), and have won a tournament game now going for two.

Davidson has played mid range games, they lost to 50-150 RPI teams in NC State, UNC Charlotte, and Western Michigan. They haven't won a big game period, unless you count Winthrop. Their best win is Winthrop in which the eagles had an off night. Curry was shut down---no one plays defense in the socon, and he'll get a taste of that in the tournament too.

Winthrop hasn't hung their hat on the GT win, they've hung their hat on three top 100 RPI wins which Davy doesn't have and a win over a Miami team that is getting an at large bid. Davy can't say the same.

Peele has done just fine in his first year. More wins over the ACC than Marshall ever had in a season, another regular season and tourney championship, and another NCAA birth.

Oh, and I thought we were not going to go to the tourney this year? What happened to that?
Keep writing nonsense buddy, it's getting quite funny in the face of all the facts.

Anyone notice whenever Winthrop loses it's because they had an off night?

They won the league this year with four senior holdovers from the Marshall era, most notably Gaynor, Jenkins, and McCoullah. They have no advantage whatsoever going into next year. That program gets a major overhaul next season---should be interesting.

As far as our friend realist goes, he did claim that WU would be even better under Peale and now he's claiming that they're going for two in the big show. Of course, after they get blown away in the first round and Davidson moves on with a W, he'll be sure to cry Curry-conspiracy, and deny his expectation of a WU win in the show as well. It never seems to stop, but something tells me that by this time next year it will be quite evident after WU re-assumes its former status as an average big south program.

There appears to be a huge talent drop-off for WU in the post-marshall era. Apparently, realist is the last to know. For the sake of his own mental health, he should become a Butler fan or something.

First of all, it's Stephen, and I think this statement only proves ignorance by Marshal and staff because Stephen would have been one of the best scorers in the big south if not THE best.

Did you not see him in the tournament last year? He was unstoppable and had over 30 points.

Calling on Realist:

Hey cuz, whuz-uuuup.

Davidson won and Curry had 40. And they didn't need 10 trys before they broke through with the win. They got it on their second try.

Looks like the real deal to me.
