Two questions, TBGBG:
(1) Were all of these 10 experts younger than BJ (as in their teens & early 20s)?
(2) Did you apply for the coaching vacancy when RD's contract wasn't renewed?

As a team LU didn't get it done. We shot 35% from the field and they were over 60%. Ashville always stepped up and got it done at critical stages of this game. They deserved the win, and quite frankly, they are the better team.

It's time to move on. Our fortunes will change next year with a talented group coming in, combined with a depleted big south. Next year is the true dawning of the Mckay era, and in my opinion, the outlook appears promising and LU should emerge on top.

I dont expect him to dunk it on Kenny, but I do expect someone to attack him... How many blocks did KG have last night? 0. How man fouls did he have? 0. We didnt even attempt to take it at him, make him foul or try to catch him off guard. So Jon youre telling me you would have played that exactly the same way?

and Scar, I wouldnt expect a high screen I would expect a low one, in an effort to take a charge or to get a good roll off and make him try to defend a few guys at one time.

And Yes wel all do become coaches. Especially me :D Because its sad when I have at least 10 different people call me today and tell me that if Im coaching with those kids we would win... Thats sad... We just cant seem to coach when it matters, In the game situation when we need to be able to change things up... It was just terrible... But I guess everyone is a Monday morning QB, but I as well as others were seeing it last night in the game...

This is how we know you wont be a good coach, or a coach for that long of time....Remember you blamed Kevin Keyes for our losses last season too

FYI Mr. TBGBG....................... getting shots blocked is not a good thing!

There is absolutely no benefit to tugging on superman's cape or spitting into the wind. Basketball rules do not award points for "machismo".

Kenny George, regardless of the opponent's strategy, seldom fouls (and gets called for fouls even less). Because he does not need to leave his feet or even be that close to the shooter to block or alter shots, he does not take fakes and get cought up in the air, which is what leads to most fouls by shot-blockers.

TBGBG just appease the blinded by the lights of perceived progress crowd. UNCA shoots 61% for the game...67% in 2nd half LU shoots 36% and we get demolished on the glass 38/19. Yet it is cute to play someone other than your 6'8" senior monster who was 6/9fg 1/2 3fg & 5/5 fts and is our best rebounder. No adjustment to a struggling performance was evident to those with a objective view.

But there is always next year and it will be interesting to see how the performnce debate gets framed. My coach use to say "Offense sells tickets but defense and rebounding wins championships." He would get alot of critics on the FF it seems.

I watched him last year and all he could do was turn and drop it in the basket. That's it. But he went to Newell's big-man camp out in Cali, and clearly has developed some skills. I don't know about one of the best passers in the league, but he has good vision for a big fella. He knows how to pass out of trouble.
i hope you are watching the game today. It points out at least in the first half exactly waht I was sayihg about Kenny george. Go winthrop!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thay just means one of two things. One is you have 10 friends that like to stroke your ego. Or two, there are at least 10 other people who know little to nothing about basketball. You can't blame the outcome of the game on coaching or game plan. We did not execute like we did Tuesday. :D Anyone can be good with 20/20 hindsight.

Oh I forgot that You knew me... Thanks Tho

Its so easy for people to say that cause even retarded 10 year olds could figure out that we needed to change something...

Thank you to everyone for trying to cut me down about it, but say what you want, you all know what we did didnt work. Im not saying FIRE RITCHIE, all Im saying is we should have done things differently and the way things were handled was a bad idea thats all. Everyone had bad ideas on a regular basis, except Tyler Baker.

as far as the rest of the haters go, Most of the people who told me that were over 30 or 40 and over half of them were coaches.

I think Ritchie knows what he is doing, but that game apparently he proved me wrong. I will agree to disagree but it didnt work and it was just terrible.

Also for every 1 of you telling me Im wrong theres 2 people reading and not posting anything that think Im right. We are all just full of ticked off and full of emotion, most of you have no clue what youre talking about as far as the game is concerned, but hey, everyone thinks they know everything.

and I never BLAMED last years Loses on Kevin Keys, I said a lot of things but I never said he was responsible for us losing...

See you guys Later.

Once again you wrongly equate me to RD or Brookville basketball. My kids went to Brookville and were not on the basketball team. I do wish RD would have had Tee Jay.

Thats what happens when you run out of an intelligent argument... Sorry man, it will always be like that.

we should've made a few adjustments...possibly...but we were getting good shots...shots we normally make...shots that WU was making today...it just wasn't our night....i thought we could've been a bit more aggressive...but we had every opportunity to win that game, we just did not execute the game plan....that was the true problem....

Everyone on our team including the coaches gave it everything they had Thursday night. It wasn't enough. End of story. Arguing about game plans is pointless. Game over, season over, move on.

Actually manson, if they were arguing about the game, I'd leave it unlocked. But once again we're back to discussions about someone who hasn't been with the program for over a year now. It's actually kind of pathetic, and somewhat embarrassing for everybody here.
