Not sure where you are going with this... but... at this point, one of our best scenarios will involve CCU winning out. Just saying.

Troubling think about VMI from looking at the box Saturday is that there is no depth whatsoever. Christian Hunter was the only player off the bench with significant minutes. I don't think Duggar has any confidence in the other guys down the roster. Also, in that game, Willie Bell played way over his head (19 points) and the Keydets shot 50 percent, which for a jumpshooting team like VMI is outstanding. Not sure how many times VMI can replicate the game they had Saturday.

Good call about the lack of depth Mr. Lang. They only played 7 tonight, and one of the Holmes twins (can't remember which one) hurt his ankle pretty bad early in the 2nd half, leaving pretty much the same 5 out for VMI for pretty much the whole half.

This is where we stand:

If we win our 2 final regular season games, we are guaranteed at least 4th, but we NEED 3rd so we won't have to face WU until the championship IF we both make it there.

So, to get 3rd we either need a 4 way tie between LU, CCU, HPU, & Asheville, or a 3 way tie with CCU and UNCA, or a 2 way tie with CCU, or finish in 3rd by ourselves.

To get a 4 way tie the following needs to happen (3 way tie is the same except for HPU would lose at least one):
LU win out
CCU win @Asheville Wednesday night and @CSU Saturday
UNCA lose vs. CCU and @Winthrop
HPU win vs Radford and @VMI

2 way tie with CCU can happen multiple ways, main thing here is it can't be a 3 way tie with LU, CCU, and HPU because we would get 4th.

3rd by ourselves:
LU win out
HPU lose one
CCU lose one

Coastal loses
In this scenario,

LU alone in 4th place if:
LU wins
HPU wins
Coastal loses
In this scenario HPU=3, LU=4, VMI=5, CCU=6

If LU loses, who cares we will be on the road.

LU and High Point are the only teams that are in control of getting a home game. They win, they're there. Coastal and VMI both need help. Radford can still get a home game with a win and losses by LU, Coastal and VMI.

Quite a scenario. HPU plays VMI @ 1:00 p.m., so we'll know more by game time, as far as "possible place-wise."
I think VMI has the edge at home, that is, if they're healthy, and despite the bad loss @ HPU.

So I'm thinking the 4-way for third will happen... that 7-7 log jam.

Obviously, we need a big effort in the final home game.

Why are we talking about avoiding WU if we are the 3rd seed? If UNCA wins Saturday (and all 'dogs appear back and healthy), they will be 1 and WU will be 2. We have not played well in either game against WU and I think we should be able to match-up well against them. Just get the home game with the 4-seed and take our chances with either UNCA or WU.

The farther we go in the BS the better (of course) but to go where we want to go, we have to beat them both, so...

I'm still thinking the Radford game is huge for our season.

(I know it means little on the one hand.. but I think there is something very big in this one, psychologically)

I say it means little, because the most it can mean is 1 home game, so we've got to win, we've got to win on the road, and we've got to start soon - and that means we need a turn around on the recent trend/direction/burn-whatever.

Please do not hold me to this but as best I can figure these are the scenarios... I am assuming I am reading the BS rules right. There are some scenarios that I am not 100% sure of... for example... when 4 teams are tied and one is 4-2 and two are 3-3 and one is 2-4 then A is the highest seed but is D the lowest or do B,C,D start with a new tiebreak. This is where it gets a little confusing. Assuming my interpretation is right, this is what I came up with.

My apologies if I overlooked something... this was a tedious process...

The best I can figure is if LU wins they host VMI in 4 scenarios, COA 2, HP 2... If they lose they VISIT – ASH in 2 scenarios, HP 3, WIN 1, RAD 2

I have LU and VMI flipped. RU swept both of them and VMI/Liberty split, so RU is correct @ #5, but LU should be ahead of VMI due to their better record vs. HPU (they both went 1-1 vs. UNCA and 0-2 vs. WU).
