FINALLY! I can come clean:
as of Monday, March 3- I will be "Cadet PAmedic" of the Allentown Police Academy. It was a hard decision to move away from Fire/EMS, but after nearly 20 yrs on the job- I was ready for a new challenge. I truly feel a calling to this, and am happy with the decision and very eager to start.
The interview and pre-testing process was lengthy, all encompassing, and included numerous physical, academic, and psychological screenings (yeah- I was amazed as anyone that I passed the latter)
All went very well, and apart from a hectic week upcoming of getting supplies, uniforms, and some paperwork- I am thru all the preliminaries. what's left now is 6 months of nose-to-grindstone study and practice, M-F, 0730-1700 with some nites and weekends.
In addition, MrsPA starts her new job this week- so we have a LOT going (not the least of which is ME being in charge of the children for the week

)
please keep us in prayers, esp my family- as I will not be home much until August.
Will try to get on here to keep you guys updated, though!
