Good one.

Actually, http://forums.profantasysports.com/ and http://forums.pearljam.com/ to name two. The mods are fairly strict about these things on most boards.

No, the hermaphrodite comments and bashing a 16 year old girl.

I know, the Pearl Jam forum is a little embarassing. To my defense, I post mainly in the Other Music and their version of the Courtyard.

He referred to her as a hermaphrodite, made references to her testosterone level and used the word "she" in quotation marks, as if her gender was in doubt. This is somebody's daughter, and she is 16 years old.

As far as how impressive or unimpressive the dunks were, I will say the same thing. SHE IS 16!! She dunked twice in one game and made it look ridiculously easy. I might add that the video also shows her making some other smooth post moves that most D1 centers cannot pull off. Only one other woman in history has dunked twice in a game, and that is Candace Parker, but I guess that's more impressive because she is attractive? She is also several years older, and generally regarded as one of the handful of best female basketball players in the world.

So what if she is 16? Height has more than anything to do with it. At 6'8" she should be able to dunk rather she is 12 or 28 considering she wouldn't even have to jump more than 2 feet, which is nothing.

She's a girl. Let's not act like all sexes are equal here. There have been taller girls than her that couldn't dunk. It's impressive. Be happy for her.

What rock did you crawl out from under?

You seem to have a personal vendetta against this kid. News flash, She is NOT the first 6'8 16 year old in history, but she IS the first to dunk twice in a game. Ergo, this is indeed an achievement, and whether you think it is or not, does not change the other extremely inappropriate comments you made about her. She is just a kid, having fun, but in addition has the potential to be very, very good. Of all the silly things that have been on youtube and been posted about here, why would you single this kid out as being unworthy of attention?

I'm guessing from your posts so far that you aren't likely to admit any wrongdoing, and if that is the case, why not do us all a favor and crawl back under that rock.

Well said old flame.
This kind of dialog is wrong. If it was my daughter, he'd be in for some pain.
FBBall this really surprises me. Even though you've made some absurd comments this is the first where you were over the top crude. If yo think she isn't goo, that is fine. If you think she isn't special, that's fine too. You really seem hung up on her in a strange way. Does she look a bit different sure, but it's not everyday you run across a 6'8" 16 year old girl. What is the deal?

it's just not an impressive feat in my opinion considering she is 6'8". like i've said before, if you are 6'8" and can't dunk, then you need serious work on your vertical jump, barring an injury that has severely limited your ability to jump.

I'll call Katie Feenstra and let he know! There are so few females who EVER dunk of any size. Your statement is crazy. Think what you want though, but the questions about her sex are absurd.

To put it in perspective, I know a lot of guys who are around 6 feet tall and wouldn't have a shot at dunking on a 9'6" goal, especially at age 16. I also knew several girls who were around 6 feet tall in high school and none were able to touch the rim on a 10 foot goal. To be able to dunk, your hand needs to be approximately 6-8 inches above the rim to throw it through cleanly. I'd say it's quite impressive since she's a female.

Finally someone else notices the OBVIOUS.

There's the other video I was talking about. Same person, still looks like Joakim Noah.
You can't see her face. The video is too pixelated. Joakim Noah looks more like a woman than this woman looks like a man. I always thought Noah looked like a woman, so saying this girl looks like Noah is not really saying that much.

That video was amazing. She dunks easier than Russ.

Saw her twice last summer and just marveled. She's not like most girls near that size that lack quickness or coordination. She really is quite athletic. The commit to Baylor is a hard one, from what I've heard.

As for her femininity, since when is it only masculine to be super-competitive, pound your chest when you make a big play, or throw it down? Since when did the idea of femininity exclude the ability of women to portray emotion in such passionate forms?!

Answer: about the same time masculinity (or certain raw forms of it) came to include such chauvinistic and bigoted opinions, like flamesbball84's.

ps - I dunked my first time at 16. Just wanted to throw that out there!
