It's about time we got a hockey thread going, and since I know our newest member will see this and want to post, I had to title it as I did.

Any thoughts on the hockey season so far? Anyone even care?

pointless thread. you may have won two cups, but who has won most recently?..the answer lies in raleigh, nc. GO CANES!!

BTW....Patty roy retired...no need to watch the avs anymore.

How about watching the Avs for the best young player in the Western Conference, Paul Stastny?

Oh, and for the record. The Canes are in the worst division in Hockey, and have 56 points. The Avs are in one of the best and have 60.

ever heard of cam ward??? how about eric staal? maybe even rod brind-amour?? and the weak divisiion exuces is lame. it may not be that good this year but if you bothered to look at the previous cup winners two out of the last three came form the southleast division...you play where the lead puts you.

Haha, alright, just saying tho, I know a lot of people from Philly who are Pens fans, because they hate the Flyers.

But best of luck to ya, NJ and the Pens are tied with the Flygirls, so to say you are in second in the East is only on a technicality at this point.

You could also be in 6th if you don't win your next game, so...

Doesn't anyone realize that the Stanley Cup is the Detroit Red Wings' to lose this year? The Flyers are starting to really look like a major contender in the East though. I would love to say my Flyers are going to be the East representative but until they can find a way to beat New Jersey I am not sure.

When will Martin Brodeur retire for the love of Lord Stanley?
