Here's some of the things Netherland has said about other schools that are recruting him: "Toledo, Liberty, William & Mary, and Delaware State have also come by my school recently. All of them have talked about offering me, so hopefully that will happen soon. Vanderbilt, East Carolina, and UNC are also still in the mix. I think they're waiting to see what some of the guys that they have already offered are going to do. My Coach also got a call a few weeks ago from Coach Trickett at Florida State, but I'm not sure where I stand with them."

if vandy, w&m, and army have offered, this guy has to be pretty smart. i would love to see him here at liberty though. the competition appears to be steep.

After visiting West Point January 24th-25th, offensive lineman Michael Netherland has given a solid verbal commitment to the Black Knights of Army. He was very impressed by the university and the athletic facilities and is excited about his future.

"My visit to the Academy was awesome and I am really excited about playing for the Black Knights. To tell you the truth, I've been leaning that way ever since Coach Baranik came down to my house in December and made the offer. The opportunity to get one of the best educations out there and to play big time college football was something I just couldn't pass up."

not surprising at all. with the list of schools he had it seemed he may have been looking for possibly "better" academics?
