Word on the street is:

Marketing - A++++++
Content - C-

Nothing makes people angrier than to build up expectations and not deliver the goods. In the meantime the producers and studio are laughing all the way to the bank.

Funny to hear that. Both my Brother-in-law and a friend (both LU students) have been raving about it saying it is great.

I enjoyed it. I knew the entire movie was going to be through the handheld camara and I expected an ending simliar to what I got. Not best picture, but I don't regret seeing it.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was a very solid movie. The wife and everybody else in the theater seemed to hate it but I enjoyed it. The fact that it doesn't have a definitive resolution and makes you think a little bit turns a lot of people off. I also enjoyed No Country For Old Men and that got slammed for the ending as well.

it was sad that the ending couldn't be more like the book ending....

it was also sad that they combined the still living people and the truly infected...

Are you referring to Cloverfield or I Am Legend? I haven't seen the latter, just wondering.

I was disappointed in the ending to 'Legend' as well. I read a script several years ago for 'Legend' (back when it was supposed to star the Governator) and that movie would have been much much much much much much better.

Really liked C'field. It did what I wanted it to do. Did I like the ending? Not really, but on the other hand it did leave several possibilities out there. (I also liked the Iron Man and Star Trek trailers) The movie reminded me a little of 28 Days/Later endings.

I still don't quite know how I feel about this movie...I liked that there was a lot of action, but I did not like that there was no intro or ending to it.

don't you mean any questions answered....

I bet that's exactly what people are going to be saying about 'Lost' here in a year or so.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, RTF. Anyone old enough to remember Twin Peaks understands that concept completely.
