Rather than continuing to post threads after every primary, I thought it'd be best to keep a running thread going here. So, after Iowa, New Hampshire, Wyoming (for the GOP), Michigan, Nevada and South Carolina (for the GOP), here's where the candidates stand...

Standings listed in this format: x. Candidate - Delegates Won - Delegates Needed for Nomination, (Candidates with no delegates won thus far are omitted )

Democrats (need 2,025 delegates to win)

1. Barack Obama - 38 - 1,987
2. Hillary Clinton - 36 - 1,989
3. John Edwards - 18 - 2,007

Republicans (need 1,191 delegates to win)

1. Mitt Romney - 59 - 1,132
2. Mike Huckabee - 39 - 1,152

the longer this thing goes the more frustrated I get with politics in general....I just wish Americans weren't so brainwashed with the whole 2 party system...it kills me....both parties are slowly tearing this country apart....

but maybe i am just doom and gloom...but thats just how i see it

If you go back and analyze past elections, you will find this is more wide open on both sides than since the early part of the 20th century. I find it refreshing that it ain't a done deal.

January 5th. Mitt Romney won. He was the only Republican who campaigned there. Here are the results from Wyoming...

(x. Candidate - % of Votes - Delegates Won)

1. Mitt Romney - 67% - 8
2. Thompson - 25% - 3
3. Hunter - 8% - 1

No other GOP candidate received any votes. The Democrats hold their Wyoming caucuses on March 8th.
