If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

No, everyone is saying how he "picked apart" and "dominated" our defense.

He didn't do that at all.

He had a below average game with a really good Completion Percentage.

he did what he had to do to win the game, that is all people are saying...

I wanted Tampa to win, I like the Bucs...when Miami isn't in it (which is never these days) I am very much behind the other two Florida teams...Eli did enough to win and completed a high percentage of his passes which is really all he needed to do. Manage the game, and tire out the Tampa defense...that was the gameplan for the Giants and it worked out perfectly for them

So why is everyone still beating up Rivers who did the same thing against more pressure.

Ranking players for passing yards is meaningless. Rating is the best way to go in my eyes for an individual game

Eli Manning 117.1
Phillip Rivers 92.6
Ben Roethlisberger 79.2
Todd Collins 69.2
Matt Hasselbeck 68.4
Jeff Garcia 60.5
Vince Young 53.5
David Garrard 41.9

So Philip Rivers had the second best game of the weekend, a weekend which only had two consistently good QBs playing and only one of the 6 best QBs in the NFL participating (Roethlisberger, Hasselbeck) based on Pro Bowl Rosters and didn't include the 4 best QBs in the playoffs. Still had a good game, but the Titans pass D ranks 8th out of the 12 playoff teams in pass defense in terms of TDs. So it's not like they were facing the Colts by any means.

Only 6 teams threw the ball less this season than the Bolts... yet they were 17th in interceptions.

Hm...

I agree that they are about to face an entirely different MUCH better team. I also say they did what they needed to do to win!

My point is they don't trust him, and don't have a reason to.

They have LT, the best runner in the league, and use him a lot. But they still can't trust Rivers to win them a game. He is a Rex Grossman with a running game, plain and simple.

He has some talent. He can make some throws. But he would rather talk trash to a QB on a losing team than lead his own to a victory.

I hope you are joking. Rivers is way better than Grossman. I'd go pull some stats but I'm tired and someone would call me absurd.

you shouldn't even need stats to realize that Phillip Rivers is better than Grossman, any moron can see that with his own two eyes.

Yeah but mostly every team in the NFL has a starting QB better than Grossman, heck some teams have second and even third string backups that are better than Grossman. :D
