If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

please tell me some of you saw this last night. this is one of the craziest things i've ever seen. ASU scored because of it!

chris jessie didn't even touch the ball. however, he + half the texas sideline (as you could see in the video) was out on the field during the "live ball."

Everyone knows my allegiances and I still think he touched the ball. The last time I saw Chris he was just a kid. I didn't recognize him. I think that must've been his North Carolina rearing influencing him on that momentary lack of reasoning.

As for the game it wasn't very competitive. Pac 10 remains overrated.

i was not in favor of either team. i just thought, from the million replays during the game, that he didn't touch it.

He didn't touch the ball, i mean how close to the replays have to be for these guys? It was crazy although immediatly calling him the " new bartman" was way overboard.

Thwe replay they showed over & over made it look like it might've touched his thumb. But on the reverse angle it appeared the trajectory of the ball changed. But it didn't make any difference because ASU wasn't that good. #11 in the nation? That's just how mediocre college football was this seasons.

I saw all the same shots sly, and even mustberger and herby were laughin when they said it might have touched his thumb during the broadcast to try to add drama. I mean they practically did a frame by frame and i never saw any change in the ball in mid-air like it deflected off of him.

The officials screwed the play up from the beginning anyway by tossing an "intentional grounding flag" on a lateral. I mean the head official must have tried to explain the situation like 3-4 times and he looked more confused than the rest of us.

although the game was not decided by that play...

i think the officials should have acted on the sideline warning that had already been given to texas in the first quarter. that would have made more sense than assuming homeboy touched the ball. regardless of the call (and i do think there def. needed to be some kind of call there), ASU would have got the ball back. however, with the way carpenter was throwing the ball at that point in the game, ASU might not have scored had they not been on the 7.

Wow. How he was even close to that is nuts. What a boneheaded play.

my question still is, why is HE on the sideline anyway? Do all coaches bring their step-sons on the sidelines? It's good to know that the snakeoil salesman is passing down his genes...even through nurture this time

He's on the football operation staff.

I'm sure Fran has his dependents on the sideline this week ... Whoops!
