The only way Russ puts in 8-10 points tonight is if the team is playing a triple-header. At this point, we'd be better off putting 5 gaurds on the floor.

If his knee is being scoped tomorrow, it may be a situation where no further damage can be done at this point. If that's the case, he may play through the pain since he's not doing it until tomorrow.

It's just a matter of playing through the pain. His game doesn't revolve around him playing above the rim, so he shouldn't be limited in his game (outside the pain, obviously).

Then he shouldn't be getting the surgery. We need him.

It all depends on how much pain there is. If he can play through it, then knowing Alex, he'll play through it. However, it's tough to tell without talking to him.

That would be terrible if he can't play...but I did see him and TeeJay in Best Buy yesterday...he looked fine...so he must be fine..haha...

Hey BJ...you should come back to town and hide in the bushes for us to get the scoop

So I'm assuming he has been cleared and knows that his injury can't be further damaged? Is that a safe assumption?

There was mention of our "report" on the post game interview with Coach McKay. Coach said he was made aware of this "report" and that there is no surgery for Alex.

They're watching!!! :welcome

Jerry stated this before the game started, and said there was some report claiming this. He didn't know anything. Sounded like to me someone close to him saw this thread.

No surgery. Not even mentioned. He doesn't even know what's wrong with his knee. Wear and tear, McLean says.

I did change the title since it does sound like fact...although to WWJF's defense he did sound uncertain in his post and did ask insiders to investigate

Fair enough. Sorry if that sounded testy.

I just jumped on. By no means was I trying to stir up a storm of controversy here. I only heard what I heard and that is why I asked some people that are closer to the program to look into it. I am on the outside looking in.

If Coach wants to say what he said, then fine, all you McKay lovers can side with him.

People can believe what they want, but I would hope that someone would not "joke" about a players injury and the possibility of surgery.

I'm sure there was no joking...I'm sure that there was discussions about different routes to take...and I'm sure that was one of them

No problem Lang...although I do watch Around the Horn and am under the impression you all are testy 8)
