Armon Jones is a 6'8 260 pounder. does that answer the question! lol. Alex Mclean is 6'7 about 230. we are in the mix of getting another young guy or juco to sign

LUBM tell me about Armon Jones? Can he help us win? What type of player is Alex? Will you be at the open gym with BJ?

yea, i'll be there without a doubt. im always at practice, im the manager. i saw armon play once.. he was a great body and had awsome feet and hands. his jump hook is serious. alex is gym rat, all he does is work out. he gets up and runs every morning at 6. he in great shape and can get up and down the court without a problem. he is also a really aggresive kid that can rebound the ball. both will help us out tremendously. alex demands the ball in the post, which is something we didnt have last year.

Played with Brew and Alex today, actually.

Brew is unstoppable. Took 3 of us to even just slow him down. Alex, was a handful. Unfortauntly, I drew the job of trying to gaurd him, since I'm 6'3 and 230. Yeah right. Manhandled me like a little girl.

thread going on CCU's or WU's board about this topic- forget which one. Point being, its not as critical in the BSOUTH to NOT have a big man, many teams have been quite successful w/out one.

I'd say having a go-to guy there would give us a competetive advantage- but the upgrade in talent will already be doing that.

A 7+ footer would be great but probably not a deal-breaker to win the conf.

I agree that it is not a neccessity to have a "Center" or "5" to win the BIg South but it would be nice. BTW, "back in the day" the front line I played on was 6'9' (SF) 6"7' (PF) 6'4" (C) Talk about a dyslexic liine up!

coastal is a perfect example. in my opinion they were the best team this past year and their big man was 6'5(sanko)

Alex is a pure man, and he's got a swagger to go along with it

and as we all know you can win the BS with two 4's at 6'8" not to mention baker will require a 3 or 4 to guard him so that will take another big body out of the paint for brew and LB

He knew what he was doing
