I had a couple of players tell me that they needed some time off before we started our off-season program. I wonder if any of the teams we are playing next year take time off?
I am not used to a player saying he needs time off. In a few years that will not come up in our system of developing players. Our players will have plenty of rest time between workout days but we should always be striving to be the best student possible as well as the best football player we can be.

Next week is the last big push until January recruiting. Now that the players are not getting the I-A offers they expected, more players are listening to us.
A few months ago most thought they were going over our heads with their scholarship offers. With recruiting battles heating up, we have become the victim of some negative recruiting talk. Some coaches mention how we are not playoff eligible during the transition time. The teams that are mentioning it have not been in the playoffs even though they are eligible.
So go figure?
