They shouldn't be because they shouldn't play for the national title.

here's why;
Who did LSU lose to? answer: ARKANSAS and KENTUCKY- Arkansas was unranked when they lost to them.
Who did Georgia Lose to? South carolina and Tennessee- both teams were ranked at the time UGA lost to them.

Of anyone out of the 10-2 teams UGA should play Ohio state. I'm not saying this because i'm biased i'm saying it because Goergia is 4-0 against ranked teams this year. they beat alabama auburn florida and kentucky who were all ranked when they played them.

Les miles even said they knew what the repercussions were when they lost to arkansas. The BCS is as screwed up as michael jacksons face. i say 8-team playoff. geez this is frustrating.

Then who are the 8 teams?

I mean really, there is no fix.

There is very little you can do to get the best team out of 119 without an extensive playoff.

Who are the eight teams?

Start off with the winners of the six BCS conferences.

Add two.

That simple, huh?

I like a 16 team format myself, but an 8 team format would be a fine start in the right direction that is for sure...

I don't know why LSU would be partying...are they going to leap frog three of these teams: Ohio State, Georgia, Kansas, and Virginia tech??? That would seem out of reach....its either going to be Ohio State/Georgia or Ohio State/Virginia Tech from everything I can tell....and man would I hate it if Tech got in...no team from the ACC deserves to be in the national title game...but thats the crap system we have right now....

well thankfully WVU showed why the Big Least doesn't deserve a title....

Also, why would the team that finished 3rd in the SEC jump the 1st place team??? Not going to happen

It's LSU v. OSU or LSU v. Oklahoma

I would love it to be UGA v. LSU since they didn't play this year and their conference is the most difficult in the country

I say Hawaii should get a shot at the national title...they're the only undefeated, and while they did have a weak schedule (i.e. playing Charleston Southern) its because NO ONE WANTED TO PLAY THEM BECAUSE THE BIG TEAMS WERE SCARED TO LOSE. I say its time that whatever BCS team goes to the title game proves it deserves the title by growing a pair and playing an unbeaten Hawaii.

My answer to this is a 24-team playoff, with the top 8 getting byes. You get auto-bids from the 11 I-A conferences, with 13 at-larges.

Atrain....that would be worse then what we have now....

You could end up having 6 teams from 1 conference play in that type of playoff

A playoff isn't going to happen

Just require a stronger strength of schedule to get in

with the system the way it is, if you don't even play in your conference's championship game (if it has one) you shouldn't be playing in the national title game. if you dont even do good enough to make it to the conference title game, how in the hell can you make a realistic argument for being in the title game when you werent even the best in your conference?! this is just like nebraska a few years ago. at least they got to their conference title game when they got to the championship game they didnt deserve to be in, georgia didn't even get to theirs!

VT has no shot at the title. LSU whipped them. that eliminates the hokies IMO. it should be Either LSU or oklahoma. georgia and kansas...no way because they could not even reach their conference title game. it is a seriously flawed system which needs a playoff.

No. In the days of conference championship games, you have to win your conference to play in the title game.

I am all for Georgia going to the NC, but really, that would show a huge flaw in the system.

A HUGE FLAW NEEDS TO BE SHOWN! the bcs is so screwed up. i'm telling you 8 team play off. 6 confrence champs+2 at large bids. that way the season isn't too long. and you have incentive for teams to win their title games.

No...Georgia should not go....the only reason they are in the discussion, is because they were not good enough to make their conference championship game, thus saving them from receiving one more loss.

That would give you:

Ohio State
LSU
Oklahoma
VT
WVU
USC
Hawaii?
Georgia?

You can't leave Hawaii out.

Ohio State shouldn't go...they didn't play anybody inside the top 20 and come from a conference where the #2 team (Michigan) loss to a I-AA.

The CAA got 5 teams into a field of 16 in I-AA...it wouldn't be worse.

Should be UF vs OU or USC. i wouldn't even mind seeing Hawaii in the Big Game either. It would be fun game to watch and hey their still undefeated.

Not a fan of either school, but is Georgia vs OSU is a big time sleeper - does anyone truly believe either of those schools should be considered the best?

If you are having trouble sleeping - your in luck!!

What the heck does Michigan have to do with anything? I'm no OSU fan but they did beat 4 top 25 teams with 3 of those wins coming on the road.

It's going to be Ohio State and LSU. Georgia and Florida lost their shot by virtue of the fact that they were out mowing their yards and Christmas shopping this Saturday.
