what name(s) are being thrown around here?

I'm not trying to throw around any names. We've had potential high school or transfer recruits at numerous practices already. More will be in attendance at the Spring Game. I'm just asking for the board's support in turning out to impress these guys and make it a redd letter day all the way around.

I would definitely be there, but my fiance and I have some appointments in the Richmond area on Saturday. I was really upset when I found out the date of the game, but it will be alright.

Hey guys, I know I posted on here not to long ago that there was a kid over here in Ohio close to my family that was thinking about transferring to Liberty out of Akron. Sorry I'd been unable to update, but I hadn't spoken to the kid in quite a while before yesterday. It turns out he is going to ask for his release, and he told me Liberty is on his short list on schools he's going to contact along with Murray St, Chatanooga, Samford, and another school that escapes me right now. He's had a rough college career dealing with injuries and illness etc, but he is a really talented kid who was a man amongst boys in high school (which is my connection to him). He's a guy I think flame fans could get really excited about if he ends up in Lynchburg and I made sure I gave him my number and told him to call me if he had any questions about the school. Hopefully I can steer him in our direction!

He needs to get tape and transcripts to Rec. Coord. Charlie Skalaski. It's important to know that until Akron has signed off on his release, no one from any other NCAA school can even talk to him. To do so would be a major violation.

I haven't seen or talked to this kid since the last update I gave you guys but I do know from last time that he was obtaining a release so it shouldn't be problem if indeed I've said the right things and he is going to contact the #1 up and coming program in the country .

First, I know of at least 1 right now that we're working on. Vince Redd, recently of UVa, was at Saturday's Spring Game and spent a great deal of time afterward with Coach Rocco. Rocco is really hoping to bring him in.

Schollies are tight right now but decisions are being made this week as to some guys currently on our roster who may have their scholarships cut/removed for the fall. These aren't guys whose names you'd likely hear on a regular basis.

i thought i saw vince there. i think he is a good kid, who got messed up in the wrong things. i love seeing him on the field in charlottesville...he was a budding star. i really hope we can bring him in. what an asset he would be!

Coach Rocco was very persistent with one of the players that got kicked out saying he personally recruited him and knows him inside and out and knows that it was just a wrong place at the wrong time thing, so therefore JF and JB allowed him to vouch for his character, but there also may be a few more transfers since they (UVa) just had a spring game and Coach Rocco believes some wont be happy with their # on the depth chart.....stay tuned, it seems to change by the hour
