Great movie. They just can't make movies like that anymore. I mean imagine a white guy using the N word!! But freakin hilarious. Other movies they could not make again:
History of the World Part 1
Airplane!!
Young Frankentein
Cheech and Chong anything.
It's A Wonderful Life
Gone With the Wind
Birth of A Nation

So many great lines and scenes in all of those movies.

I wonder if Monte Python and the Holy Grail could be made these days.

One of my favorite scenes in Blazzin is the one where Gene Wilder is convincing Clevon Little that he is the Waco kid. Gene says, "cup your hand around that chess piece and I will snatch it before you can on the count of 3." He is on the other side of the table and Clevon cups his hands. When he opens his hands the piece is not there. Gene Wilder had his arms crossed and never moved but all of a sudden he has the piece in his inside coat pocket. Really tough to convey in a message board but if you have seen the movie you are probably laughing. Of course " the Sherriff is Near" is one of the greatest lines as the bell rings! Hiliarious!

"We welcome our new...@#$%##"

Then he breaks into the self kidnapping.

Of course, the campfire scene is classic.

Did you guys know John Wayne was originally supposed to play the Gene Wilder character. Imagine that. He read the script and said, "I'm John Wayne. I can't do this. I'll be the first one at the theater though on opening night."

Mel Brooks and Buck Henry started the genre that is carried on with movies like Scary Movie and Airplane. The spoof movie was and still is done best by Brooks to me. Although since Spaceballs was such a disaster he hasn't done much in that dept. Interesting story about John Wayne. I didn't know that. It is funny how Leslie Nielsen is known most for his role in the Airplane and Naked Gun movies but he used to be a very serious actor. Alec Baldwin seems to be going that route and I for one love it. Alec Baldwin's best of SNL is still my favorite SNL. His sketches are the funniest. I love him on 30 Rock as Jack Donaghue too. Fumble, the hostage reset made me LOL.

One of the Better lines in the movie...I like this one. "For my next impression: JESSE OWENS!" Also the Badges we don't need no stinking badges is great. That is from a serious movie too but I can't remember which one.
