At those prices...
...I don't think they'll be serving the High Life...I saw the menu and immediately thought of a jumbo-sized dude yanking beverages out of the cooler. $11.50 for a hamburger...ya'll must be crazy.

(Disclaimer...I don't condone the beverage...but love the commercial)

I'm impressed with the efforts being made downtown by the Craddock clan. As soon as I saw the name of the place I figured it must be tied into the hotel.

Clearly they are not trying to attract the college crowd. But it looks like a very nice setup. I've not been to a Bookbinders but ZI have heard very nice things. So that has me somewhat intrigued.

As for the review itself, I'd likely be gushing too if I were getting free high-priced grub for myself and my significant other.

I went there for dinner a few weeks ago. Is very nice, but extremely expensive. Good for a special occasion - anniversary, birthday, ect. Not an everyday or even once a week place to eat - at least not for me.

If it is anything like the original Bookbinders in Philly, I will have to stop by and try it. Downtown?

Been there, although not for dinner....decent atmosphere

I'm interested to see what the sports bar they are putting in down at the bottom will be like, it's also supposed to be a brewery...I just cant stand 90% of the people that go down there...they are people who prob own a small business but act like they invented the automobile, over hearing some conversations really made me want to punch a few people in the face the other nite (I wasnt listening in, they just like talking loud so everyone hears about their ventures)

To me its a Piedmont Club for those businessmen who were never able to join...I think I need to go back b/c those guys really ruined my experience so hopefully next time there will be normal people down there

I'm interested to see what it's doing in 5 years...they owe ALOT of money and we all know the hotel wont make any with its huge number of rooms (46)

Well, I hear you, but in a small town with few good job opportunities you really do have to create your own business if you want to make a good living. With all the competition that is pretty tough so a little bragging is understandable. It takes these mini high-rollers spending their $$$ to make nice places survive. They won't survive on the students or the other low paid folks in town.

agreed...again, I think it was just bad timing...if they can tap into those that were members at the Piedmont club...really Lynchburg needs another Piedmont Club...it would do well

the piedmont club was great, but those types of clubs are quickly dying. the new place should survive. plenty of the boosnboro crowd will keep it going.
