We've got one home game left. I have a challenge/invitation for any of you guys on here that are alumni. None of you who are alumni got to experience a jacked up full student section while you were students. I invite any of you to join us on the 50 next week. The reason I say it's a challenge as well, is because there are a few "rules" that come with it:

1) You must be in the stadium an hour before the game.
2) You can only sit during halftime.
3) You must participate in cheers and chants.
4) You must know the fight song.
5) You must stay to the end.

If any of you want to do it, I'll welcome you in with open arms.

Alumni, another option--if you don't want to follow Super's 5-point outline of rules--is to come join the old hags on the Baptist side and WATCH how jacked up the students get from a distance: VMI is always a great game because they travel so well with their own alumni and fans, and we would really like to have more of our own alumni there that they have. Please come--and sit/stand/jump on which ever side you feel more comfortable.

I just want people to full experience what it's like on our side. It's a lot more work than most people realize. If you've ever seen me the night after a game, I'm completely worn out.

Fixed it--and yea, some even JUMP before the beginning of the game (which makes Medic look much taller).

Why do you assume the student section's never been that way before? You should have seen us over at City Stadium and 1 year at the Bill in my day! :P

With all due respect, Knuckle, I don't recall us ever having 14,441 standing, jumping, thunderstick beating, tailgate eating fans at City Stadium, not even during the Eric Green era.

Wipe off those rose colored glasses and see the new Super-led LU Flames.

Never said it was the same. But there were a small group of us who always jumped yelled and cheered in proportion to the vibe of the time. It is WAY better now no doubt. Just don't want folks to act like they are the 1st to every cheer the football team right.

This isnt some brag fest. You wanna come over here you can. If it was amazing back then and you enjoyed it why not come back for that experience again?

It isnt the first the 1st time people cheered the right way, but I gotta tell you I dont think youve ever experianced this at LU, and if you come over and its not everything we say it is, well then Im sorry.

Just from standing on the sideline by Supe and crowd for the PC game was an experience...
...but Cider is right...I enjoyed watching the student section against Coastal. I hope they plan the thunder sticks out, again.

The student section has never been that way before because there have never been 7000 students in it at any point in Liberty history. The student turnout this year has been better than it ever has been before. Sure, you had your groups when you were a student and that's great, but let me tell you, being in a group of about 1000 (at Coastal) and being here in 7000 is completely different.

Trust me I'd love to come in with you guys. I'd have a ball and scream my head off. I will be working the game and taking camera shots of you nuts though. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to rile anyone up. We did our best.

I didn't mean this thread as a shot at anyone. I understand why you can't be a part of it. I was just throwing out the invitation for anyone to experience it with us. Fumble was with us for maybe a quarter, so he has an idea of it.

I always tell people that I dare you to come to a football game with me and not have a boatload of fun.

I went to the Elon game with you and all I got was a sunburn. Can I get a refund?

Kidding, kidding. I know you mean home games and I won't pretend anyone had fun that day.

You also went to W&M with me. You can't say that one wasn't fun.

It was fun right up until the very end. Then it was a lot of not fun.

I was sitting near Super at both the W&M and the Elon games, and I will say that the games are much more fun when you are close enough to Super to hear his commentary and see his actions at the game.
He's quite the :cheerleader for Flames football (and I mean that in very positive sense).

I tried to get things going at Elon at the beginning of the 2nd half, but no one around me would do anything.

It was tough, I wanted to get loud, but NO ONE was. It was almost like we were out of place there.

And for the record, Super left EARLY, though he did stay for part of the 4th quarter, and Scorcho had a nasty sunburn that day.

I did not leave early. I don't know who you saw, but I stayed the entire game. I've never left a Liberty game early. I wanted to, and even grabbed my stuff, but I never left early.

Okay, Super, I stand corrected. Maybe you just moved up above me, where I couldn't see you any more.

Ohhh 6-7?? Man, wrap it up then 😭
