Just thought I would ask you guys who were at the game or watched on tv, as I did, what you thought about Bowling Ball.

The kid does it all IMO, but I might be slightly biased.

Speed, strength (I love watching him run people over - a few of those today), elusivness, catches out of the backfield, blocks etc. He will get drafted, just not sure which round. 'Rome is projected in 2nd round so far.

Rome didn't do a lot but he has been double and triple covered all season. Still got 2 TD's, but Will is a horrific QB and will not throw jump balls to him at 6'2" with a 44" vert.

I wasn't impressed with Bowling Ball, but that's because I see Rashad all the time. I don't think he has anything on Rashad, but I have only seen Tolbert play against our defense, which is fairly stout. Tolbert had AMAZING vision, he always found the hole. And he was very tough to bring down. But he didn't WOW me.

Rome on the other hand, was great. Amazing TD catch there near the end. He is gonna be a serviceable NFL receiver, if not better.

Like Rashad, once Tolbert got past the line of scrimmage and was in the open field, he was really dangerous and almost impossible to bring down with just an arm tackle.

I don't think Tolbert is nearly as fast as Rashad, but he's very good. He hits the hole hard and is hard to tackle. Rashad was overweight last year, and you can see how more time under our strength coach has made him sleeker, stronger, and faster. If Tolbert got in with a great strength coach (yes, I'm bragging about how good our guy is) and cut some weight, worked on his speed, etc, he would improve tremendously. That's not to say he isn't very good now. I just think with the right training, he could be even better.

My question to you, Bob, is what do you think of Rashad after seeing him fully healthy?

SJ: I dont think BB is going to look to lose weight going to the NFL. I think they would use him as a FB not a HB or RB. Obviously if some team drafted him and told him he would be a RB, he would lose some weight etc.

Rashad is a good RB, however he doesn't seem to have all that great vision. I saw on a handful of plays that there were cut-back lanes wide open and he just plowed ahead into the pile of CCU defenders - granted it was 10-12 yds downfield...

thats all Mike Pittman does and he is a well tenured NFL player. Vision isnt as vital when you can truck like Tolbert or Rashad, and I am sure it is something he is working on

Although, I suppose his vision was serviceable enough to find the endzone three times. :D

Ohhh 6-7?? Man, wrap it up then 😭
